I have a Ford Escape PHEV on order, it will get a $6,843 federal tax credit for this year. No idea if any of the Ford EV and PHEV products will get any Tax credits next year. A nameless democrat voted with the whole minority party to vote the tax credit down going forward.

I’m pretty sure there is a method to the production madness for the orders. It’s impossible for us to completely understand what the full supply issues are but I’m guessing they go through all the orders by date and determine whether the parts are acquired to build the particular Maverick.

When Ford does offer a PHEV Maverick, I will be ordering it ASAP.

Just for grins and giggles, I decided to call the Ford marketing number listed above and basically got the same information as I got from the dealership. It’s in processing status. Oh well, fingers crossed it will get built sometime this year

My cactus gray XLT hybrid order with only option of thehitch was placed 11/15/21 and email confirmation from Ford a day later. No expectations but have to say that I’m shocked by this news.

I’d advise you to buy it and pray that the dealership doesn’t add on $3-$5k worth of useless add-on junk to further increase their profits. As you are probably aware, they are praying you decline the vehicle to pad their profits even more!!

My current hybrid vehicle has a tow limit of 800 pounds. Seriously, if I were to be wanting to tow more than 4000 pounds then I would be in the market for a nice new Ford Ranger or large F series trucks. IMHO the Maverick hybrid being able to tow 2000 pounds is really good. 😉
