You don't get an "in production" e-mail from what I have read. You will get a "built" e-mail though. I had a Dec 13 build week and my status has still not changed to in production on the tracker.

It means it’s the first special edition produced of more to come in the future. The Bronco had a first edition, now they will have coming in the future a Heritage edition, an Everglades edition, snd many more.

The cost difference for premium is not reclaimed by only 2mpg more.
