That is not normal.
My Tundra is 18 years old with a LineX SIBL since new. It has hauled everything from lumber to rocks to metal ramps and there are zero scratches or gouges like your pictures (much less peeling).
The cost of Line-X SIBL in my area is $499 (add $100 for UV protection sku)...
FWIW I would contact the Regional Ford Customer Relations office and request they get you a loaner car until they are able to take and fix your new Maverick under warranty. That will at least time stamp your loss of use...

I'm aware of only the Bushwacker and the Air Design. Of the two I like the Air Design better but there is no way I'm paying $600 for four pieces of plastic.
Used XLT for >$14K over MSRP (window sticker in the CarFax at following link):

Exactly. That was my response on the ARE Cap thread awhile back.
Maybe these Cap manufacturers should look at making a high quality rubber seal strip that fits snuggly between the truck cab and the cap to seal the juncture along the top and sides to keep debris and water out.
I can do without the XLT Lux package in its entirety. For my MY23 XLT Hybrid build I optioned the tow hitch, SIBL, 400W power inverter, rear manual window, COP360, and all weather floor mats. The only thing I would add to that would be Keyless Entry and Push Button Start if it became available...
There are a couple of threads regarding windshield stress cracks due to no fault of the owner that were covered under warranty. You might have a look at those...here's one:

Will definitely look into this cap once my MY23 XLT arrives. Much better look and functionality (windows) than the Ford SnugTop IMO.
A bit concerned about the roof gap (above pic) between the ARE Roof and the Roof of the truck though. Seems like an area that would catch alot of dirt and...
At a minimum I would submit a complaint with the NHTSA. The more folks who document this hybrid wiring harness failure with the NHTSA, the higher the likelihood Ford will issue a recall and will become a higher priority for them. This is my personal opinion...
Reminds me of the story about a guy who bought himself a new recliner, so he set his used recliner out by the curb with a "Free" sign on it. It sat out there all weekend but no one picked it up, so on Monday he put a "For Sale $150" sign on it, and by Tuesday morning it was stolen.
Good question.
A year ago (August '21) Carvana stock closed at ~$360, yesterday it closed at ~$27. That's >90% decline in market valuation. There's a reason for that...
