Didn't see any issue on the front cover when I dropped it for its first oil change. I am about a month away from my next one and this will involve a tire rotation, brake check etc. etc., so I will roll under the whole rig and check for any other dirt & moisture traps - I will update with what I...
Not sure. I would assume the housing for the plugs should help a bit, the inverter itself should be in the cab.
It may be that one of the mudflap options out would help as well. The storage cubby works so well because it is deep and extends a good way down inside the panel.
Mine is XLT as well. The underside covers are not absorbent at all, and make cleaning very easy, same with the soft fender liners, dirt sprays right off..
I didn't take any today, but can take some tomorrow if needed, still need to detail the interior, under hood, and clean out the bed.
TLDR...
I have been on many muddy job sites recently, and to add insult I got trapped twice behind a brine spray truck, so my Mav was in need of a good wash.
I have a 6-foot extending wash wand with an adjustable head i use to spray under body wheel wells etc., and I pay close attention to the left...
Seems to be some random spots as well as the pooled area, so my fingers are crossed for ya that it was a sloppy tech with a service can topping off the oil....keep us posted
Heck, it's a fine time to ask about both, for some of us...
Both work great, plenty of A/C and toasty heat too!
It was 74 just a few days ago, 17 this morning 😅
Not that I have found. Go to helminc.com and you can get on the mailing list to be notified when they are available - wiring is $95 & service is $205. All they have currently is the glove box set for around $35
It is at the very bottom of the model drop box. Also don't forget, when you get your tag you can give it a nickname in your account page to help keep things separate or to help when you are going thru your toll bills.
I just used "other" for the Model selection, so for the Mav my account shows 2022 Ford Other....
I also ignored their instruction on tag placement, from outside the damn thing would appear to be in the middle of the windshield, so I put it above the registration sticker. It hasn't missed a...
All bullshit aside, I'm not seeing how the OP's damage has a damn thing to do with the paint. Yes, the water-based crap is piss poor in comparison to the older formulations, but I would not expect any paint job, at any price point, to hold up to being whacked with a freaking board....
Not to...
I was initially interested in the need for a box or plate/baffle for my upgraded filter. So I made 4 back to back 2-hour & 40 minute drives over 4 consecutive weekdays, same weather (temp range +/- 5 deg, RH +/- 3.5%), same times and same driving conditions (normal mode, cruise control between...
Yep, I sent them the email they asked for. Sounded a bit like human factors engineering, they want you be on the zoom call in your truck so the engineers can see how you interact with the vehicle....sounded interesting
I used a 3" SS coupler normally used to connect silicone hoses, an Injen X-1058-BB filter, with a hydro-shield cover, and knocked up a quick brace from some AL bar stock.
Drilled the SS coupler to 11/16 for the 1/2" grommet for the air temp sensor.
Filter is a dry type, and is worth the...
What super cheap and easy option are you talking about? I could replace the fomoco element 5-6 times for the cost of one element for the one I am running. OEM's make boatloads of compromises to get units on the road, if you think the design is optimized before they produce it you are kidding...
