I went to put in my rear speakers tonight and discovered I have a different plug? I ordered the 72-5600 based on this thread but the pins on my harness are smaller.
Any idea what adapter this is?
Glad I’m not the only one. The driver side uses a white plastic that seems to be more resilient. For whatever reason the passenger side is a more brittle black plastic.
That’s why I use nut drivers. No sockets to lose.
The only other minor mishap was removing the dash tweeter covers. For...
Installed the powerbass oe65c-fd speakers today along with some siless 80mil mat. Took about 3 hours.
Exactly the upgrade I was looking for. The difference is night and day even with the stock rears.
I have a pair of the hertz dcx 100.3 coming this week. I grabbed one of the last sets on deep...
Had a second sighting yesterday, HPR hybrid. Didn't see what trim, got distracted by the f-250 pulling a travel trailer on fire on the side of the highway.
In terms of the hybrid, eco increases regen braking and changes throttle response. I don't see any difference in mpg from normal and my total electric miles are essentially the same.
YMMV. Literally.
1100 miles. 41.5mpg first tank, 48.6mpg for the second. 45mpg overall.
I drive in normal mode. I just haven't seen a benefit to using eco. Trip to trip mileage is the same or worse.
Yeah, the manual just defines it as "power". The blue box is related to overall charge to some degree. You can watch it shrink while cruising on electric.
Unfortunately, the only way to get real detailed info is through an obd2 app like Car Scanner on your phone.
I should have specified its...
You definitely want to be smooth.
Some tips:
Use the Hybrid Trainer
You will learn when you can let off and reapply throttle to kick it over to electric
This also helps you keep track of how much charge you have
Maximize regen braking
Start slowing down sooner. Use the trainer to find the...
I took a similar approach canvassing dealers across the country on Autotrader. My only requirement was a hybrid under 30. About 10 days later a dealership an hour away called and said they had an XL hybrid on the lot.

Just about a big of a truck 180 you can make. Our plans to get a travel trailer changed, so it no longer made sense to be driving around a big truck. As much as I loved it, it made more sense to move to something much more efficient. I can’t bring myself to not drive a...
