The only reason I might not want to keep it is the painfully low mpg and my Mav is a hybrid. The hybrid setup was the thing that sold me on the Mav in the first place. Although the power, handling, and interior are amazing, I worry the mpg could be unbearable.

Good points! Yeah, I’m not mechanically inclined, and labor cost is most of the expense. I’ve always taken it to the same garage, which is certified to work on Minis. It’s no longer under warranty, but still. Yeah, maybe I should just have someone do this stuff on the cheap.
