  1. Eibach hybrid pro kit, snowy install

Thanks! Ride was my biggest worry as well, but thankfully the engineers really did the work on these, as they are not any more harsh or bouncy than stock, I might even say smaller bumps are a little better isolated than stock. It sits about the same now as most of the cars I've owned and I...
  2. Eibach hybrid pro kit, snowy install

Idk what possessed me to do this today, but I'm loving the drop! I've never done suspension work before, and it took me all day, but it was totally worth it. Ride quality feels pretty much the same, tighter for sure but not any harsher than stock. This is exactly the look I was hoping for! Now...
  3. Maverick XL on Silver's coilovers and 20s.

100% agree. These definitely have a "future according to the 80's" vibe to them. Pretty Rad. Side note, I bet these are helpful with mileage considering aerodynamics.
  4. Color Matched Slotted Steelies for Snow Wheels

love the retro style, very creative touch with the slotted-effect paint job! I'd personally like to see some chrome dog dish hubcaps with these to really complete the vintage look.
  5. Updated - 2nd vehicle to pair with Maverick Hybrid, $10k budget.

I'm going to say opposite of what most are suggesting, and tell you to go land yacht (Obviously I'm biased by my 2nd car). You've got something pretty small and economical in the Mav, so get yourself a big comfy couch. You can find pretty decent roadmasters, towncars or the like, in your price...
  6. This is what’s in store for EV owners [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

No one asked for it, they're doing it to help level the playing field. Oil and Gas subsidies, that no one asked for either, absolutely dwarf EV tax credits. (which is just a refund for an individual's own federal tax liability, you and every other tax payer isn't directly contributing to...
  7. Vintage Maverick Badge

As promised, about as good of a picture as I can get of the whole thing. The two ends of the badge sit on the high points on either side of the oval in the grille design. Posts go through the middle of the oval and through the back plate behind. The nuts cinch it down to pull it tight. Couldn't...
  8. Vintage Maverick Badge

Were practically neighbors. I'm in Lake county
  9. Vintage Maverick Badge

I'm pretty sure my dad's looked just like your yellow car
  10. Vintage Maverick Badge

The back plate would be really easy to replicate, I think you'd be fine without it as long as you have some (very) mild fabrication skills. Its just a thin piece of hardened steel with a couple holes in it for the posts to go through.
  11. Vintage Maverick Badge

It is installed with the original mounting hardware and method. Thankfully, my dad actually kept the entire chunk of the grille that the badge was attached to, so I had the full assembly. The badge is very simple; it has two coarse-threaded posts coming off the back side and a metal backer plate...
  12. ATLAS BLUE Maverick Photos Thread

Atlas Blue deserves so much more love.
  13. Vintage Maverick Badge

I don't remember if I shared this before. My dad's first car over 50 years ago was a Maverick. He totaled that car in his exuberant youth, and held on to the grille badge to tell the story ever since. He gifted me the badge for my maverick, with the instructions to be more careful with mine...

  15. My 2024 Maverick in Terrain color delivered

Yeah same here... No love for pastel beige, or if I'm being rude: smoker's white.
  16. Maverick Lobo / ST Performance Street Truck Prototype Spied

Love the idea of a street performance truck, since that's where most trucks spend most of their time. Definitely needs to be lower, this looks only slightly less jacked up than standard. Wheels look very cool, wouldn't mind a set of those. I would guess 2.3L based on the platform it shares, but...
  17. New Maverick Models / Variants Are Coming Says Ford

Congrats. I kept my trusty Taurus through college and then bought a Fusion and a house once I graduated. Then I saved up for my Lincoln (my dream car) and then my Maverick. Some of us don't dream of mustangs. This is why I said "generally" in that post
  18. New Maverick Models / Variants Are Coming Says Ford

Same, been working more than half my life already, but my first was automatic (a creampuff of a 2002 Taurus; front bench with a column shift that I loved, $6,250), because my mom would have killed me if I brought home anything that had a manual (rwd sports car or crappy compact) not that I...
  19. New Maverick Models / Variants Are Coming Says Ford

Its so funny to me when boomers blame millennials for the problems they created, and pretend its somehow our fault when we were literally children when they began. The proliferation of automatic transmissions is squarely based on boomer buying trends. I'm 31, so younger-ish millennial, and even...
  20. 20" (Chrome spoked) wheels and tires upgrade

Count me in as part of the chrome crowd. Most of my generation is into all the blackout parts but I guess I've got old school taste. I think chrome and blue is a really nice combination and these look great. Definitely would look good lowered. I think the Eibach springs are a good fit, gets the...
