I think I'm following...I see you have a Lariat - are you using the built in satellite antenna to get your SiriusXM feed? If so, you won't be able to access that from Android Auto on the Mav screen.
That said, if you're already paying for a SXM sub, you could download the SXM app to your Pixel...
28ish with 50/50 mix highway/city. I get just under 34 with pure highway driving in warmish weather. AWD with tow and the higher final drive ratio that goes with it.
I really doubt the majority of the forum is lying.
This is pretty cool, I was wondering when a kit like this would come along. Thought about following what others have done with a Sync 4 APIM swap, but maybe I'll wait for this or see what MY25 Maverick has for potential display/APIM swaps.
And who was it that drilled into our heads that we need to go to college or we'll flounder? That's all my friends and I heard growing up. You take on the college debt because otherwise you will not succeed. I got out relatively unscathed, with about $20k in school debt. I worked two jobs...
Did you not read my first post? My own parents did all that while raising 4 kids in a pretty decent house. That would be 100% out of the question for me.
In 2010 I was fresh out of college with enough debt...another argument not for here though.
My Mav is completely paid off. My only debt is the condo. My GF has $10k left on her auto loan and is her only debt. I have a lot saved for retirement for my age. I never said I couldn't afford a larger place. I said it would hamstring me and compromise my (and my gf's) financial picture...
I'm a "whiny ass" gen y (that owns his own home), but you are missing some details. Go back and compare home values, adjusted for inflation, vs. the median income then to now. It is incredibly difficult to own a home on even an above median income today. Let me give you an example:
My dad...
The one in this build is pretty decent. It did heat up my phone pretty quickly, but that is mostly a side effect of wireless charging. On my phone (Galaxy flip 5) there is a toggle to turn off "fast wireless charging". Granted it obviously doesn't charge as quickly, but it definitely keeps my...
Dash cams are some of the cheapest insurance you can buy. All my cars had/have them.
Even ones that turn off after parking can sometimes have impact detection and will record if it senses an incident. My model (Nexar Beam) has a tiny internal battery for this purpose.
Same as Den above, I had to plug the fuse tap in 180 degrees rotated of the OP's posted video for fuse #3. Even then, the tap plastic is very close/touching a neighboring fuse (#10, which is for the extended power module). But it does work.
Otherwise install was pretty straight forward...

Just curious, have you done hand MPG calculations to confirm what the truck is claiming?
The worst I've ever gotten is 23 mpg with mostly city driving, in the winter, in cold temps (under 15*F).
