  1. Free open-source dashcam viewer I built — 3-channel sync playback with GPS map

Awesome, thanks! I was going to go through and compile a list from here of what people want added, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Feature requests as Issues in GitHub will be much easier for me to track. Everything I've seen here so far seem like import and doable things, I just need to...
  2. Free open-source dashcam viewer I built — 3-channel sync playback with GPS map

You will need to find some file service to host them at. You could put them on Google Drive and share them via a link or try something like Wormhole.
  3. Free open-source dashcam viewer I built — 3-channel sync playback with GPS map

I'll give porting to Mac a shot too. Again, while I am a software developer, I'm mostly using AI to build this for me, so it isn't a big job, just have to plan, design, chat with it, review and test. This is a great project to experiment with AI coding on so I'm enjoying learning about it. I...
  4. Free open-source dashcam viewer I built — 3-channel sync playback with GPS map

No reason why not. Do you have any sample video data I could try it on? Either personal or something from the manufacturer?
  5. Free open-source dashcam viewer I built — 3-channel sync playback with GPS map

Only way to find out is to try it. If it doesn't work and you can get me some sample videos I can see if adding support is doable. My routine is to take the SD card out of my dashcam when I get home, put it in my computer and use the "Import from SD" function to move them to my computer and...
  6. Free open-source dashcam viewer I built — 3-channel sync playback with GPS map

Hey all, I built a free dashcam viewer and wanted to share it in case anyone else here is frustrated with the software that comes with their dashcam. I have a Wolf Box 3-channel setup (front/interior/rear) and the stock app is... not great. Buried speed controls, no real scrubbing...
  7. Door locking incident...

I admit I cannot even picture where the lock LEVER is on my wife’s car, which I’ve driven for thousands of miles. I’m only aware of the lever in my months old Maverick because of these threads. It is an oddity. Ford apparently didn’t have enough old men test the door handles. šŸ˜‚
  8. Door locking incident...

I love how every time this comes up the OP thanks us for the answer and then randos show up to troll the thread for pages. Moderators might need to start locking answered threads. Meanwhile this kind of shared comedy will make this a long lasting forum because the steady among us will stick...
  9. šŸ‘‰šŸ»UPDATEšŸ‘‡šŸ» Ford uses Torx PLUS ++ Here is the Difference

This is the kind of post I'm here for! In the cart and will be in the truck by end-of-week! I love having the right tools for the right job and with a truck like the Maverick, one should be ready to tighten/loosen things.
  10. YoungElectric - Dual E-Bike Rack

That is actually a nice feature! My Maverick has auto-braked on me multiple times while backing up with the bike rack on it. It sometimes "detects" that the rack is there and disables rear obstacle detection, but it will literally change its mind mid-backup and detect the rack and then brake...
  11. YoungElectric - Dual E-Bike Rack

Oh cool! I didn’t even knew that this existed. Post another picture of then after you get them installed if you don’t mind.
  12. Infamous Urban Legend "Florida Man" drives a Maverick

LOL, same in Kansas! I tried to transfer the plate from my convertible, and was told I couldn't, and had to pay more money. :😭 I even asked, "Even for just a LITTLE TRUCK?!" Yes, I had to pay more. Oddly, with a 2-DoorJeep in the past, they were able to register it as a "car" not a "truck" if I...
  13. Infamous Urban Legend "Florida Man" drives a Maverick

LOL, the real "Florida Man" thing here is people thinking these are real and not the obvious toys/props that they are. Fun Maverick sighting though!
  14. Get a dash cam!

My decision to go with the Wolfbox was 100% for the video rear view camera. It is so amazing! I didn’t care about the rest after that. The front camera is 4K so it will do its job, but I’m loving the big unobstructed rear view that isn’t affected by mirror angle or what’s in the back seat.
  15. Get a dash cam!

Yeah, things change every year for lots of reasons, mostly cost. My windshield camera in my 2025 looks like this diagram you posted and not like any other I’ve seen pictured. It is very small.
  16. Drivers door locking randomly.

Wow this thread is so long! I cannot read all of this, but I do want to make it longer! Seriously, what’s the status now? I will say, for me, the reason I want someone who has this happen repeatedly to video it is that it happens to me RARELY. I’m not able to video a rare random event, so if...
  17. Get a dash cam!

Yeah I think the ODB II port is the perfect solution, plus it’s fast and easy and you can focus on the camera part of the installation. Nothing stopping you from swapping out to another method later, but the ability to just pop it on/off easily and anytime is a plus. I would like some kind of...
  18. 2025 Default Drive Mode

They pop up and ask ā€œDo you want to return to … modeā€ when you start the car next time. Then you have to press ā€œUpā€ and then ā€œOKā€ to accept. This is two button presses and if your steering wheel is rotated it is very difficult to remember which way is up. Meanwhile just pressing the Mode button...
  19. Here's my new Dash Cam.

You can view the video directly ON the rear-view-mirror anytime, but to download the videos to your phone, your phone has to make a WiFi connection to a bespoke netowork that the device creates, so you have to disconnect from everything else to do that. I'm hoping maybe I'm missing some other...
