Cherokee- I agree with you on not “nickel and dimeing“ on the price. I got my 2025 Lariat Hybrid 4K towing and sunroof for $39500, before tarrifs kicked in. OTD pricing is really meaningless because of location. I live in Delaware, very low tax and registration.
Join a farmers bureau to get an extra $500 off. Only problem is that you have to be a member for a month for the discount to kick in. Others in this forum can give you information on what State Farm bureau to join. Remember, it does not have to be your state and all states have different prices...
You all know that the system was designed to be most efficient when the start/stp engages. Please understand that you live in 2025 and engines are designed differently than in 1999.
Don’t even hesitate. The only drawback for me is that with the tailgate down there is no way beyond a hack to close off the backend (for sleeping). I bought a few short straps for the side and back windows to replace the Velcro straps provided by @FLATED Guy.
Think about getting a Maverick Lariat. Drive is considerably better than the XLT because of the better noise canceling windshield. Also, don’t sell the hybrid short and then kick yourself years later for not waiting 4 months from what you really want.
triangulumhalohydra- I watched the fast-top video. It doesn’t hold a candle to the @FLATED HQ Air-Topper. Looks like it takes a mechanic to assemble and put on the truck. Check out the Air-Topper video on YouTube.
The rear extension is just a netting hack. Hoping that @FLATED Guy is going to come up with a better affordable solution to close off the back with the tailgate down so I can sleep in the bed.
