My guesses in order of probability. Keep in mind I don't have a clue.
1. Bad sensor somewhere dorking up the HVB charging.
2. Bad charging system/generator so HVB isn't charging up.
3. Bad HVB that is not charging.
July was a hot month in Tucson rarely under 110F. I still go 37 MPG with...
It being a one piece unit makes it a no go for me. I like the two piece type that are far easier to deal with in a small cabin space.
I'm currently using the two piece one from the 2012 Focus that the Maverick replaced and it fits perfectly.
2023 XL Hybrid, 9/23 build date.
ALL updates have been done (at 7K and 12K miles) in my driveway, no issues.
Latest update was done 6/25/24.
I call BS.
Living in Tucson I find the remote start (Ford Pass) the best thing since sliced bread.
In the winter starting it even less than 5 minutes before I leave makes it so I don't wear a jacket all winter. The only reason to wear one was to get in a cold car in the morning.
In the summer even less...
Same battery since Sept. of 23'.
My 2012 Focus fob had the original battery when it got traded in for the Mav. Eleven years. I expect the same for the Mav.
Clay bar with Griot's Garage synthetic then Turtle wax Hybrid solution every 6 months. 303 Aerospace on the black bits every 6 weeks or so.
Not garaged.
I saw a dump truck blow a tire on the freeway once. Huge chunk of tire went about 30 feet in the air and landed right in front of a Jeep doing about 70. Unavoidable. I don't think the Jeep was still running as he pulled onto the right shoulder.
I could see trashed bits of Jeep hanging down...
Holy Tonneau cover catastrophe Batman! This thread made me go look. It's been over 115 the last few days and my poor Mav is out in it 24/7.
I have the soft roll up Tonneau from Ford, self install. I wonder if any non Tonneau folks are getting this?
I had to look REALLY close but mine is a...
I use that sunglass holder every time I enter or exit the vehicle (AZ sunshine) so no point in closing it.
Early on I decided that I didn't want issues with it wearing out (seems a little flimsy) so now it just stays open and I lay my glasses in it. It's never gonna wear out!
If you have the font on your phone set larger for viewing without glasses try making it smaller to see if that fixes it. Some apps respond better to enlarged fonts than others.
I've never done anything other than drag and drop the image file into the body of the message. Works every time and just about instantaneous.
Just place the cursor where you want the pic, drag and drop. Easy peasy.
I came into the rotary shift dial with zero expectations. Took about 2 days to get used to it. Works fine, no issues.
I don't seem to get anywhere near it unless I'm actually using it so no accidental shifting here.
If folks are going to agonize over 2 or 3 MPG then we all need to agree that when quoting MPG that we are talking about calculated at the pump, not using the vehicle's guess you see on the screen.
Unless you have dialed in the MPG setting in Engineering Test Mode it could easily be 2 MPG off...
UPdate: It seems the trick is to turn the key very quickly all the way to Start and release. Out of the last dozen or so attempts it only had a momentary A/C interruption once. I'm lovin' this remote start.
