The peanut gallery is loud on this one. 🤦♂️
People have upgraded brakes before, and not everyone posts every single mod - like OP's other 350hp Maverick build. But that truck exists, and people have seen it at a meet-up.
I'm gathering OP is trying to preserve some intellectual property...
If it makes you feel any better, every single OEM black fastener I've ever touched in that bed is now rusting. The simple act of unbolting/refastening apparently damages the coating enough to leave the metal unprotected. Then the Torx bolts retain water in the head. Yay.
If I had to do it...
I don't have the answer to your question, but I am pretty sure Dallas proper is the "poop factory" and that thing west of the bridge is just a treatment plant. :D

You can't turn autolock off, and no, your OBD2 thingy will not work. As Cal said:

In theory you could use the app to schedule a remote start twice a week, so it'd be automated.
You'd probably want to change the remote start duration to something really low; <5 minutes if possible - especially in an enclosed garage.
Personally I'd just install a light in my garage; it's...
I doubt Ford would do anything retroactively.
I have the $100 eliminator and do not regret it. Forscan programming is a much cheaper option if you can get comfortable messing with it.
I mean, what position is the switch in when the lights don’t turn off? I assume when you keep the switch in the “off” position the lights are off and stay off. Have you tried leaving the switch flat aka “Door?”
I know you are cycling the light switch… but what position are you leaving the switch at?
There is “On,” “Off,” and what I would call “Door” in the middle.
The way most people have been wiring it, that BCM wire is the actual 12VDC+ power for the light(s). The LED fog lights are a small enough load that the BCM will power them. After programming with Forscan, all the F-150 switch does is digitally tell the BCM to send power out that new wire.
