I have similar RallyArmor flaps on my Focus ST for 7 years. The RallyArmor and RokBlokz I believe to be superior to OEM for the following reasons:
1)Material is a very thick indestructible rubbery plastic, so they bend out of the way instead of breaking if they hit snow, dirt, rocks, or...
Same as our 2020 Escape. So I only upgraded the front door speakers and added a sub. Now it has even better sound that the top factory spec. Planning similar strategy for the Maverick.
I am looking to add aftermarket subwoofer, because I opted not to get the B&O. My friends couple year old Ford's Edge with B&O is loud and enough base for me. And so is my Focus ST with factory Sony Sub, but I fear without the higher end factory radio, I will need to add some punch to satisfy my...
Amen!
Copper to copper wire connections are always better than wireless (more efficient, less heat, less interference, faster data speed, cost, etc, etc).
Only had 1 wireless charging phone, and will never use one again. It was less than 50% efficient, and all the extra energy turned into...
This will be one of the first things I want to do as well. Depending on the cost of parts. I already made my peace with it, that I don't need to spend a couple thousand more for a small cubby in the bed. Already tons of room for bins in the bed, and also interior storage in the cabin (back seat...
Systems of several heavy metal rotating shafts, joints, gears, (and clutches engaging and disengaging secondary drive axles) do make noise. Especially when taking up all the slack in the system, like when you change directions of rotation (ie: shift from forward to reverse, reverse to forward)...
When I drove an early 2013 Focus ST with 2.0L, I would describe the test drive with 2 words "torque steer". But that was driving very aggressively playing with it. After owning a 2014 ST for 8 years now, I can tell you torque steer is only an issue if you are racing. Dumping the clutch with high...
Its worse, many industries suffer from this same reliance. Its called a global market, if someone makes things cheaper with smaller wages, then more expensive makers go out of business and everyone will buy from the cheaper places.
All people do what is best for them (spend the least money)...
For all automotive, the only lot-rot warranty I have heard of is windshield wipers. If a car sits for months in the sun without any use sometimes they can get stiff and not clean perfectly, but dealers are aware and happy to replace them proactively or reactively if this occurs.
We are same height, thanks for the perspective. My Focus ST I can reach mid roof on my tip toes.I think I will still need a stool to wash the roof. But interior looks spacious and low bed will make it very easy to get things in and out.
An engine desined to be able to extract energy from higher octanes is not inherently worse with mpg. Improved efficiency can be used either for performance or mpg, depending on your gas foot.
With more energy in each gallon you can travel more distance per mile with a light foot, or burn more...
I have found the sweet spot to be 89 octane on my 2014 Focus with same 2.0T as far as feeling the difference, cost, and mpg. But in winter I run 87, just to save a little $.
Good point about spare having more tread. I also notice on door sticker it has 11.4% more psi, which may also help it more closely match your other tires.
In FX4 eco mode is when you are light with the gas pedal, and sport mode is when you mash the gas pedal :)
drive modes are the lastest thing no one needs, but eveyone thinks they need
