  1. Lower Octane Fuel

I definitely notice improved acceleration using 93. My wallet notices the difference too.
  2. DIY Kayak Rack

I thought about all that stuff and just went with an inflatable kayak; sea eagle 420x. They are way more convenient since you can put them on a plane in a suitcase. Mine is 14ft long and weighs 44lbs with an 855lb WLL. I could probably put a ton of them in the bed and shut the tailgate. I'm...
  3. Do your own oil changes (avoid dealer service)!

I expected to be able to have the dealer do it the first time so I didn't have to, but I guess not. It was only $44 anyway but it should've been free though since they didn't do it right.
  4. Do your own oil changes (avoid dealer service)!

This was my first time ever going somewhere to get an oil change. Never again. I've done parts changes on my old rusty santa fe; radiator change (Most of the front end had to come off) fuel injectors, spark plugs, brake pedal switch, brakes and rotors and oil changes. It is an old rust bucket...
  5. Do your own oil changes (avoid dealer service)!

I went to the dealer to get the first oil change and I get back home and inspect the work and see the guy busted every single clip and bolt on the back of the front piece to the skid plate. I didn't want to do the first oil change but now i'm regretting not doing it myself. I'll be going back to...
  6. Rear light cluster misalignment??

This is a common occurence mine does that and I haven't done anything about it yet. I'll probably have the dealer fix it when I go in for my first oil change. It is of course covered under warranty and no doubt easy to fix.
  7. Roof rack and sunroof compatability

Any problems with yakima or thule roof racks and the sunroof? Can the sunroof still move with a kayak on top without breaking the sunroof?
  8. Lug nut torque

Anyone else have low torque on factory tires? ~5000 miles just bought a torque wrench and they were moving at 100-120 ft-lb. Getting ready for future tire changes and bought an impact too that goes to 150 ft- lb on low.
  9. Snug wipe dispenser Ford fits

Quick access fire extinguisher if you don't have kids. ~3/32"-1/8" gap. It seems pretty stable right now i'll test it like this to see if anything breaks. I shook the car around and it didn't move. No modification to current design.
  10. I used 89 octane and my MPG has gone up 3 ticks already

The manual recommends 91 or higher but says that 87 is fine. You just have to read farther down. Higher octane isn't likely to hurt you just don't want to put low octane in a vehicle tuned for high octane because you can blow up the engine. The maverick is probably tuned for a higher octane fuel.
  11. Snug wipe dispenser Ford fits

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6177650 As long as it ports correctly to your 3D printer it should be scaled properly.
  12. Snug wipe dispenser Ford fits

This is a wipe container holder for ford fits. I will probably upload the .stl file for free. I made this one by modifying a lysol one i found on thingiverse made by intoxikated. All i did was add a male fits connector, a widened cylinder and a rectangle. I scaled the lysol dispenser to snugly...
  13. Federal tire disposal fee $8/tire - new car sale

It is a state fee, indiana is 25 cents per tire. Mine was $1.25 it included the spare tire.
  14. When can i expect my Xl?

Never Jk, my lariat took 6 months
  15. Switching my hybrid engine to ecoboost?

Unless the hybrid ever has 4k tow and awd, I can't see myself ever buying a hybrid maverick. Even then I'd rather it be an all electric with a tow package and awd than a hybrid.
