I like the OP's F-150 shifter mod and am happy to know it's possible. I've done a few miss-shifts with the dial because it spins too far and is not intuitive. I can't get used to it in 3 point turns or when I'm in a rush. This shifter would be easier to use than the dial.

I went with the same one from Ford Accessories. I needed 3 hands and the wife helped out. She says it looks great and there's no arguing with her. I have the BAP and it seems to match great.

They are Ford Edge wheels from a 2015 Edge.
