I notice the F150 shifter has up and downshift buttons on the shifter handle itself. I am assuming if you pull it down drive and press the M button that gives you manual up and down shifting.
My combo was a 1994 chevy Silverado standard cab, and a 2008 chevy HHR wagon. I kept both. The silverado is still handy and runs great. The HHR makes a good spare vehicle whenever my wife and I need it.
Nice truck!! These things are so customizable with everything that's on the market for them, that quite literally there are no 2 alike. I have had my ecoboost since november 2022, and love it!!
Its not so much a
It's not so much about flexibility as it is spreading the load. Those eyelets are only threaded into a welded nutplate attached to thin gage sheetmetal. Just load something heavy and attach it to those eyelets, and if you have to slam on the brakes and that load shifts, it...
I have the auto start stop eliminator. The nice thing is it still let's you activate the auto start stop when you want it. I have one traffic light that's unusually long on my way to work. I activate it for that. Other times I just leave it turned off.
I have had it automatically restart the...
Very true. All my fix it up junque is Chrysler stuff. Paper catalog has very little for me. The database however has a lot of stuff for me. Plus I'm only about a 2 hour drive from the Arlington Tx warehouse.
Now you can do the summit catalog online. I am never without my summit racing ball cap. At work they said our hats had to be patriotic or aircraft themed. Summit hat has an american flag. That's patriotic. So they let me wear it lol.
AA Mini mag light, C cell mag light, extended reach snow brush, ratchet tie downs, tire plug kit. Leather work gloves, baby wipes, paper napkins. Spare winter coat.
Need to make a mount for a fire extinguisher, and also get a mini air compressor. Thought about carrying emergency rations. Just...
Good Lord!! I try to travel light. My toolbox key for my work tool box key is on my ID badge around my neck. I have pared down the extra shit in my wallet, and periodically purge it of excess crap to keep it as thin as possible. I keep it in my front pocket to prevent lower back and sciatic...
Then be penny wise, and dollar foolish. When major fluid lubricated components fail hopefully you will have traded it off by then, just in time for the second owner to deal with all the headaches that you now have gifted them, or keep it and deal with them yourself.
Car manufacturers stretch those intervals out so it looks better for them showing the consumer that their vehicles have lower maintenance costs than competitors do. Anybody who thinks doing an oil change every 10,000 miles on a turbocharged engine is normal needs their head examined. I do my oil...
I am going to do this as soon as I can. Glad I found this thread. I have those ford points, may have them do a transmission machine flush this go around. On the front and rear diffs, I will do them myself on my buddies 2 post lift within the next couple weeks. I have been doing engine oil and...
When my wife had her used 2013 grand caravan, it came with 1 factory key. I bought ebay replacements. Had to have a locksmith program them since you need 2 originals to do it yourself. I probably bought 6 of them aftermarket keys. I'd get maybe a year out of them before the buttons went to crap...
I dont have big screen envy. What ford put in this truck screenwise and information wise is actually plenty for me. I normally roll old skool, so this is a huge step up for me. I ordered ice blue LEDs and plan to drill a hole in the top of the cubby, and wire one in facing down to give a little...
It's a flexable hard plastic with a fabric pattern. I'm not happy that it scratches easily, however I would recommend armor all protectant. They have it in high and low gloss. Another option is the different silicone protectants offered for vinyl and plastic surfaces.
Hope this helps
Matt
I cleaned and sprayed up in there with CorBan 35 when I had the LH taillight and the bed inside cover off. Plus I have RokBloks installed doubt I will have a problem. All these new vehicles have galvanized sheetmetal anyways. It will take awhile before that happens. Maybe a little sooner in the...
I made a nice divider and store my parking pass in there. Nobody ever asks what it's for, and I found it handy for that. My phone stays plugged in and in the console tray. Any interactions I need through it, I get off the steering wheel buttons or touch screen.
