I would be LIVID.
Report them for everything, to anyone who will listen. Ford themselves, any local commissions, spam them with hateful reviews on every website possible, get your friends to do the same, hell even the BBB might hear some of my thoughts at that point.
So sorry you're going...
I had the exact same issue. Showed the week of 11/20 as the scheduled build week, and "In Production" on the 24th. However, no movement or updates since then.
I reached out to the Ford chat, and turns out it's a known issue that the tracking site is lagging: mine is BUILT, secondary status...
One of the reasons it was going to be one of the only things I added to my order, but they got rid of it as an option for MY24! Still considering whether I can get the dealership or someone to install it, or possibly learn some electrical skills and attempt it myself...
Did you notice that it was breaking a little hard right at the last few moments when you were coming up on someone else stopped at a light? Or every single time you came to a stop regardless of whether there was anything in front of you?
So, for confirmation...
You ordered a Maverick, are getting it delivered to a dealer, and are asking people to pay you for the opportunity to take the order that you would otherwise abandon anyway for the dealer to sell?
How's that any better than the dealer markups we collectively complain...
Funny enough I was in Honolulu a year ago exactly, and that was my very first time seeing a Maverick out and about: two parked right next to each other under an apartment building.
I think I get it, but do you have any pics of the setup? It would certainly be much cheaper for me to go that route than buying all the rails and racks and such
Nice! How long was the kayak, and did you have to get any sort of brackets to strap it down effectively? I've been looking at getting kayaks for my GF and I since I'll have a truck to actually haul em around.
I think we're in the same boat - I was within the first 5 who put in an order the day the order banks opened at my dealership, and I have a scheduled build date for the same week! MY24, not a rollover, purposefully selected options that would lead to the least amount of constraint as possible.
