Just put a voltmeter on the two wires. If it shows with a negative sign in front of the value, you have it backwards. If not, your meter leads are correct, indicating which is positive and which is negative.
The deep sleep issue is caused by the factory battery. Do a search, they’re all kinds of threads on it. Basically, if you just replaced the battery, that will solve your problem.
If I’m understanding your question correctly, it sounds like you can’t get maps to open on the infotainment center. You’ll either have to plug your phone directly into the USB port, or get a third-party dongle if you don’t want to plug it in. Hope this helps.
I bounce between Eco mode and slippery mode. When one seems like it’s not giving me quite as much miles per gallon as I would like, I switch to the other, and it seems to do the job. Then I have to reverse at some point. Don’t know why, but that seems to work. I usually get between 42 to 43...
