I get normal wear and tear. I’d expect to see it wearing under the brake and gas pedal where my heel would rest not closer to the seat. it just doesn’t make sense to wear there.

The magnet is very strong and should pull through the bed rug. I went this route as the other half of the magnet switch wasn’t strong enough. As for the switch I left it intact and tucked it inside the 12 Volt access.
