Since the Mav is a unibody and still new, the cost for repairs are enormous, (limited parts). Go in the search for wrecks, the cost for just replacing the front or rear bumpers is in the thousands. I've seen many totaled for what would be a repair for a truck with a separated bed.
Eruption green is suppose to be offered for 25 only. I understand your choices. A battery tender and coat of ceramic wax should do just fine. Hopefully you'll get your Mav before heading to Germany. BTW...we've been to Germany a few times. One of our favorite places. Happy New Year and Godspeed.
Hopefully, when (if) the Toyota Stout comes out, there'll be some competition. Maverick still rules for compact truck and can set the price. If tariffs go up on the Mexican made truck, Toyota has various plants here in the states to build. I worked at Toyota KY plant 25 years.
Makes me wonder if I should get my dash done. I have an appointment for dash rattle and back seat latch. Debating on front speaker cover replacement also 🤔 😬
I worked for Toyota manufacturing in Georgetown KY for 25 years. I went from assembly in Power Train to machining con-rods and cranks to my last 10 years in QC. Retired in 2016, bought a new Tundra, moved to Dothan for family, sold Tundra w/60,000 miles for $32,000. Never had Ford before, but...
Days of the $19,990 price are over. More models for 25 to choose from, more options, and (hopefully) less glitches, Ford is making $$ by selling as many as they make...not to mention hitting $40,000 mark. Toyota may be too little to late with ( and when) the Stout comes out. Anyway, happy with...
Ford never expected the sales of Mavericks to be so much in demand when it could've acknowledged the problem but sadly, quantity came before quality. I hope Ford steps up and takes responsibility before the government has to.
