I like Car Guys. I used it on my 2019 Ranger for almost 5 years. You can put it on everything, plastic, glass chrome. When you put it on your windshield it acts sort of like RainX. First application you want a freshly washed vehicle. After that you can just spray it on a lightly soiled truck...
Just got back from Home Depot. Plugged the light into the bed receptacle and it didn't disable S/S. On the way home I put it back in the AC plug behind the front seats and S/S never engaged. Cheap fix if you don't like S/S.
The AC receptacle isn't powered when the engine is shut down. The light puts enough current draw on the AC when the engine is running so it prevents the S/S from shutting the engine down. You just have to make sure the light is on the whole time you are driving. You can paint the light black if...
I'm not a fan of Auto S/S. Plugging a night light in the AC receptacle worked for years on my 2019 Ranger. I have it plugged into the Maverick and seems to work most of the time. Cheap fix for an unwanted S/S.
I think the problem I was having with the night light not 100% disabling S/S was it being a night light it probably wasn't lit all the time. It is a night light after all. On my Ranger I think it stayed dark enough for the light to be lit all the time, maybe not so much for the Crew Cab...
On my 2019 Ranger plugging a night light into the AC receptacle behind the front seats would disable S/S. On my new Maverick it only works some of the time. I've only had the Maverick for two days but will be looking for something to plug into the receptacle to duplicate what I had with the...
I for one don't like the Auto S/S. I had a 2019 Ford Ranger and basically disabled the AS/S by plugging a night light into the rear AC receptacle behind the passenger seat. It kept the AS/S from activating for almost 5 years on the Ranger. I tried it on the Maverick and sometimes it would...
Just got my new Maverick on Thursday 6/16/24. I traded in my 2019 Hot Pepper Red Ranger for a Hot Pepper Red Tremor. So far I'm loving it. I've owned Rangers since around 1986. There has always been a Ranger parked in my Driveway since then. I kept my 2002 until 2019 when I got the Ranger XLT...
I believe it is based on MPG you are getting at the time of fill up. MPG X Gallons in tank. You won't get the same miles to empty in city vs road. MPG is always changing depending on driving conditions.
