Just a heads up. CD's remain popular with the classical music crowd, of which I am a proud member. While I could transfer my CDs to a flash drive, I'm afraid this would represent years of work which I do not have left. In addition, classical works are often 3-4 or more movements long and...
I’ve got about 25,000 miles on my hybrid Mav using 87 gas. Most of my driving is on flat rural highways. I’m retired so generally try to drive at 55. I’ve found there’s a significant difference between winter and summer (in ND): 39 vs. 44. I recently drove to Butte MT and back driving the 75...
I don't know if this of any help, given that I have a '23 hybrid XLT with the standard sound system, but I have also had an on-again off-again issue with a low-pitched buzz showing up in the subwoofer. I'd take it in to the dealership only to have it working fine. The problem seems to be with...
Ditto to the last post. I have a '23 Mav hybrid and this summer average temps have been in the 70's and 80's (ND). The AC comes on automatically but I have often been able to turn it off. That said, I am seeing little or no difference in mpg either way. Far more noticeable has been the...
I use Costco 87 octane in my hybrid as the improvement in mileage doesn't justify the difference in cost. It is Top Tier for in Fargo, ND and I assume it is the same elsewhere. When a Costco is not available I look for a Top Tier station. I'm at 20k miles and have had no problems. My Mav...
Nope. My hybrid XLT just passed 20,000 miles after facing everything ND could throw at it: snow, ice, slippery mud, and gumbo (clay that, when wet, likes to wrap itself around the tires until the wheel wells fill) and pulled itself through it all. (Something my F-150 4X4 couldn't always do.)...
Every once in a while when I start my '23 XLT hybrid I get a low rumble from the speakers instead of music. It persists while driving, even if I turn the audio and/or the truck off and on. Then, when I go to drive it later, everything is fine. Curiously, if I use my phone the car audio works...
Live in ND. Have found mpg drops noticeably as temp drops below freezing and even more as it nears zero. Waiting to see how it does in warmer weather, but this has been a surprisingly warm one and the mpg swings have been impressive!

Took possession 11/1/23
13,684.8 miles
Obviously love driving it. I listen to a lot of classical music and find the stock music system just great.
I drove F-150's from 1995 until taking possession of my hybrid XLT last November. I bought it with a soft tonneau cover. It has surprised me in how much it feels like my older pickups, including how side winds affect it (and we deal with LOTS of wind in ND). It certainly feels no worse and is...
My '23 hybrid would have been one of the last '23's built. I have had it since the beginning of November and am currently at 9300 miles. I live in ND, and I have not had any problems despite running it on ice, in snow, and thru mud. (Not by choice). Given the complaints I have read over time...
Thanks for the vid! Finally got my '23 XLT hybrid two months ago and just had the first oil change at 7500 miles. I love mine and it was reassuring that it it holds up as well as it does at 36,000 miles. Maybe it's because I'm 73, but I have always expected teething problems with new models...
Um, no, it's either the Maverick's fault or climate change. And since most of ND thinks the latter doesn't exist, it must be the Maverick. But I love it anyway.
