Since your not darkening the red plastic itself, if you have LED high bright taillight bulbs, I don't see why it would affect it too much. Yes the silver reflective would be missing, however I bet on the Black Appearance Package the reflector area is black. Ford wont tint the lenses themselves...

Thanks for the kudos. I bailed out on the paint idea, decided on bonding on aircraft cockpit vinyl. This does not scratch very easily, and cleans easily.

I decided on the textured grey cockpit Vinyl. It uses a waterbased adhesive that's heat activated. I still have 1 more end divider to do at break time. But in my opinion, these look great.
