I was playing around with the idea it's just too much work for a few k return. I've also gotten attached to my lil guy. I'll wait for the AWD hybrid. At that point hopefully production issues are mostly behind us and ford can start actually advertising. Then we will see demand go through the...
I have a buddy who's on a farm and was in the market for a new super duty. He's going to buy a stripper Super Duty for real work and lariat hybrid mav as a daily. Will end up being almost the same initial price as a high trim f150/superduty. Then when you start including savings in fuel and...
I just used a sharp box cutter to cut holes in my bed mat for the hooks. Not as clean as if it came from the factory but oh well. I use the same hitch rack on my mav that was on the Fit. Still super useful since it frees up the bed for gear or more bikes. Keeping things dry is a big plus of...
Marketing departments furious at this One Weird Trick!! Coming from a Fit as well! It really was an amazing vehicle. But like you I was getting tired of falling into it and feeling pretty tiny on the road. As others have said if you need a 6' bed you probably already know. I had a last gen...
05 rado! That was my first vehicle. Had a rwd I4 mt WT my grandpa gave me after hs. Not the most luxurious ride but it was super reliable when i was in the army. If it's a 4x4 and in good condition like im imagining you will get 12k all day at a minimum. Here in WI where people are desperate...
Even if the price is raised it's still a screaming deal. If you do go XL doing the diy cc is beyond easy for anyone. I wouldn't be suprised if they add cc to the 360 for the XL in order to raise the option price for it as well.
Nice review and congrats on your mav. I could write basically an identical review compared to my 05 Colorado which was my first vehicle. . Esp since I have an XLT it feels like a spaceship. Even compared to my 2012 Fit I came from. Just a great little truck like how they used to be.
That looks stunning. Even without a before pic I can see the ceramic shine. I don't like seeing so much dirt with a lighter color but the satisfaction of how it looks clean can't be beat. I just have megs ceramic liquid wax kept up with the ceramic detailer once week or so when I wash. Looks...
Changed mine for the first time at 3000 miles (5000 km). Probably too early but i still like to do an early changed to be safe. I'll just do it twice a year in the future before and after the winter. Since i dont drive much that will still be only like every 4k.
Constraints def wont be going anywhere. I'm sure Ford will do as much as they can to cut back the options and try to optimize things but you can't predict everything that could end up slowing things down. Also being at the bottom of the totem pole means mav parts will get cannibalized first...
My buddy has a 2019 ridgeline. If you want a nice crew cab midize and offroading isn't important it's the best option imo. Insanely comfortable and has all the creature comforts. Same mpg as all the other midsizers and will be super reliable. But it's really only a deal if you can fine one used...
Any issue regarding to this will 100 percent be resolved for the 23s. There will probably be a recall for us 22s. Tbh I'm quite shocked this is the first one for the hybrid. And it's really not a massive design/engineering issue.
