    I know nothing about 8F35 transmission but 9k is way way far out. Call another dealer get an out the door cash and carry price. Probably about 3K maybe a bit more maybe less. Check labor for an R&R.

    Thanks for the info. Bookmarked the link you posted. Old breathers on the rocker covers were nothing more than a pushed on cap with wire mesh inside. If it got oil in it one just rinsed with mineral spirts and kept on going. I've discovered some folks can find a $10 bill and complain it...

    If the price of a vehicle, plus a penalty for F/E is within your budget go for it. I can just about guarantee, you are not taking it with you. Ever see a brinks truck following a hearse?

    I know from first hand experience....do not drill any holes to apply undercoating to hidden area. Inside doors, rocker panels.
