Yes it’s the worst of any car I’ve ever owned. The term is buffeting.
I’m wondering if window deflectors might help. Also may try the Toyota Supra door guard trick.
Even at low speeds if you open other windows it’s crazy!!! My kids did it on the freeway and it was so painful.
yeah, I’m getting a spray in soon. I’ve owned a lot of pickups that got more use and didn’t scratch up as easy. I think the paint just isn’t very tough.
6 months in and 95% of the time the only thing I’ve had in my bed is plastic bins which I use for groceries or just keeping smaller things I’m carrying from rolling around. I leave them back there and they don’t slide around much aside from when I move them.
Was surprised how scratched up the...
As I mentioned a bit earlier - most quality mag mounts are 5" magnets and they don't fit great on the Maverick Cab - also, I don't recommend running coax through doors that are closed, could damage coax, and in turn the radio.
I put Elevate racks on along with the Pro X15 bed cover and had to...
Waste of time, sure a little height might help but they aren't going to add lockers and without that it's just a lifted Maverick at a premium price. Better to spend on a Bronco or Gladiator with lockers if you plan to off-road. It's going to be as expensive as the Frontier I bet and less capable.
Here is some info on those - https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/235-70r17-or-75-vs-245-65r17-why-has-no-one-on-the-forum-gone-with-the-235-70.6735/#post-142317

Thin or not I don't think it's stuck to the metal very well. I had something rub in the bed the other day and paint didn't scratch it just flaked off in one spot. Never saw that in my old 79 Chevy truck or my 94 Ranger.
It’s really close but I think with fins and a squash tail it won’t fit. I could be wrong though. I did fit my 6’5 in the passenger seat with the seat down and the tail in the footwell.
Yes - pretty easy. Two nuts to be removed on the base of each and you can remove them as one piece or 8 nuts and you can take it off each one in three pieces. Here is a good video showing how they go on and off.
Yeah that’s about right unless you got a lead foot. City only I’d expect 23-25 maybe but with hwy mixed in 28 avg is what I see pretty much every tank.
No it’s almost 6ft exactly diagonal at an up down angle. If you had a canopy maybe but not with a tonneau cover.

I haven't noticed a difference in MPG with mine (Ecoboost). I also got a good deal from Realtruck and am enjoying the racks. I also have the Pro X15 Tonneau which wasn't fitting right but got it working now (when mounted with the cs rails you remove the seal and replace it with a thinner CS rail...
I use my trip meter a lot so I'll often reset it at different points and for the most part I'm seeing 28-29 MPG very consistently. This may sound weird but when I get to 2-3 gallons left (100 mi remaining on distance) MPG is often 27-28. Not a huge difference but if I reset the trip meter/MPG...
