So yes in the sense that when I go,over that area I’m more cautious than I would be if the letters weren’t there. Certainly when applying wax you have to be mindful of residual getting trapped. Removing it after can be a chore if you aren’t careful.

I know they’re stainless but I didn’t note any coating.
