I don't mind living without ACC, I had a Rivian truck for a while and I really just preferred driving the "old school way", on long trips specifically, despite it having a pretty sophisticated system.
I'm a big proponent of the Italian Tune Up, the engines are designed for this (albeit not at full rev-limit for an extended time). I used to have an RX7 and it was crucial to do this on almost every drive.
Good call on the solar! Plenty of unused surface area up there and it will absolutely come in handy when you're camping. Might even be worth adding another panel or two and you can really enjoy some off-grid electrical.
It's a great feeling! I can't tell you how good it felt when I saw the same thing for my new Bronco. The wait gets even tougher though once you get close to the end!
I am surprised just how little competition this truck has in the marketplace. The only truck I've seen it compared to is the new Slate, and that's basically vaporware for the time being. I doubt we'll see any price drops until some real competition shows up.
I agree a rear fog lamp could be quite effective, too. I've imported a few cars and they're a favorite feature, just some added protection against whatever person is driving behind me.
Looks good! I spent more than that on one direct from Ford (granted I used some of my rewards points), and it's still in the box. And it's just a super basic truck bed one!
Wow, that difference in damage is incredible! Hopefully you're recovering well. You see all sorts of crash test data but seeing real-world safety like this really impresses me.
