    When it arrives, p. i. c. t. u. r. e. s.
  2. THE Most Trashed Maverick, Hands Down

Based on OP, seems they sell one at Home Depot if you try hard enough....
  3. Are they kidding me!

Marketing and service don't talk to each other.
  4. Lobo Maverick Window Sticker!

Green is retail (ie customer) order. Blue is stock order.
  5. Yikes all 5 oil changes have been synthetic blend???? Should I freak out or chill

I've used the "whatever" approach to oil type in every vehicle I have ever driven and never had the engine be the point of failure. As long as you are getting it changed at regular intervals, you'll be fine. I'm actually surprised the dealer didn't ask. Full Synthetic here costs a little bit...
  6. Lobo Maverick Window Sticker!

Obligatory demand for pictures when it arrives.
  7. 2025 T-Boned 🥲

It protected you. That's all we can ask. Glad you were able to walk away.
  8. Just had my "free battery test"

I would be surprised if that cleared the recall. The free battery test was pretty much available to everyone. If you were out of warranty, Ford would charge you for the new battery. Just the test was free. The recall will be a separate replacement and I'm willing to place money the replacement...
  9. New car break-in period has me full of regret

    Hence the word "mostly"
  10. New car break-in period has me full of regret

I agree with this assessment. If you are putting a ton of city miles on the Maverick, then the hybrid was likely a better purchase. But if you are mostly on the highway or barely putting miles on it at all, then you aren't likely to see much difference.
  11. Ok to take soft tonneau cover into car wash?

I've taken my soft cover through car washes. When I get home, I pop the end of the cover to let it air out as it is not car wash water tight.
  12. Ford to launch Maverick EV (I hope this is true)

They don't have billions to lose right now.
  13. January 2025 Sales & Production: 8,730 Sold / 15,825 Produced

Everyone has to make that call for themselves. For some people, an EV will make ZERO sense. For others, it might work fine for one or both vehicles. The Hybrid is a nice middle ground while I feel the XR-PHEV is likely going to ultimately be a best of both worlds for most people.
  14. January 2025 Sales & Production: 8,730 Sold / 15,825 Produced

Not overnight from empty. A Lightning would take ~54 hours to charge to full at the 2.4 kW you mention. Also, I believe Ford won't let it charge faster than 15A on 110V as a safety feature. You will have to get a 220V plug to charge faster.
  15. January 2025 Sales & Production: 8,730 Sold / 15,825 Produced

And we have considered that. But my wife is a stay at home mom and I work from home. Only the kids drive to school. The benefit of a lot of the fast chargers in my area is they have been stationed where I would need to take a bathroom break anyway. By the time I walk in, do my business, and walk...
  16. Ford to launch Maverick EV (I hope this is true)

I'm not going to post this again. But basically, it would can only be roughly $5,000 more expensive than the EB to justify the move for me based on my current annual driving.
  17. January 2025 Sales & Production: 8,730 Sold / 15,825 Produced

My wife asked my why I was tracking the gas consumption with the Maverick (as if she didn't know I was a nerd). But the truth is I want to see what the total cost of ownership is for me so that I can compare that to owning an EV. In 2024, I purchased $851.82 in gas for 6,090.6 miles. The range...
  18. Ford to launch Maverick EV (I hope this is true)

Ford has had the right approach with EV. Instead of making a brand new model, make an EV version of your two most popular models. It's not an electric Escape, it's a Mustang! With Maverick remaining a hot seller, it makes sense to offer an EV version of it. If they get the range right, it should...
  19. January 2025 Sales & Production: 8,730 Sold / 15,825 Produced

I'm averaging $100 a month in fuel at ~23mpg average. Assuming the hybrid does twice as much mileage, it would take 8.3 years for $5,000 marked-up hybrid to break even with my AWD 4K EB.
