Our atmosphere is 78% nitrogen. As mentioned previously, moisture can create problems with metal surfaces.
  2. 2 months 2,500 miles and it's dead

40 yrs dealing with intermittent electrical problems on submarines and power plants. It’s called infant mortality. New equipment… if it makes it a month or two it should be dependable. Temperature changes, moisture, vibration, even rodent urine. Love my truck 1 yr, 18k miles now. Eco boost. 30...

  5. Hybrid Maverick: Speed vs Fuel Economy -- My Recorded Data & Chart

Refineries switch to winter-blend fuel in the fall, which evaporates more easily at low temperatures to aid in starting. It also helps the engine run more smoothly in frigid weather. Unfortunately, winter-blend gasoline contains less energy than summer-blend gas, reducing mileage.
  6. What is this button ?

Perhaps a fuse open option for flat towing? I put one in my HHR to disable security circuit when towed behind motorhome.

  9. Small Maverick gripes, and why the dial shifter exists.

Just bumped the shift dial today. Doing about 25 mph, moved my hand accidentally past selector dial, it rotated, got Vehicle warning screen (didn’t read it) but saw selector indicated flashing P for park, car still moving forward about 25 mph, car did NOT try to shift into park, quickly spun...

Nuke submarine: ahead full, then back emergency… the turbulence to our 8000 ton boat was beyond awesome!! And while fooling around; did drop uncle’s ā€˜66 Buick Riviera from drive into reverse at about 35 mph and the rear wheels responded… quite startling!!
  11. Another Sunroof Thread - Buffeting & Rear Slider

Have the Lariat with sunroof and rear electric slider. Someone else’s order, but like my order (which has never arrived 1 yr and 4 Mo) except for the above mentioned items. I just love the air flow! I modulate it by just raising the rear of the sunroof, and adjusting the rear electric slider...

  15. Exceeded My Expectations!

We all pride ourselves on our driving ability. I was first mildly annoyed with Subaru’s version of Pilot360, but soon realized that it will save you that time you reach over to pet the dog, chase that French fry you dropped, or look left to see a WTF something. We all do it. We all lane wander...
  16. Exceeded My Expectations!

It does not measure your grip on the wheel, there are no sensors for fingertips.. It’s looking for feedback from you when you adjust (move) the steering wheel…usually within approx 10 seconds.
  17. Exceeded My Expectations!

1 year 4 months later had chance to buy someone’s order. I’ve had it two days. 200 miles. Rural roads at 50 to 65 mph. EB, AWD, 4k…30 mpg!!! Looks great!
