Well yea after not getting by Dec 31 as promised then telling us he was selling our ordered (w deposit) Mav after waiting 5 months at that point & that we would have to re-order and wait for 2023. He was damn lucky I was car-less that day 🤣 As someone raised in a family full of lawyers (4 aunts...
I looked in my area, Winter Park, and didn't see any Mavs though that was awhile ago. I was curious what they were getting on rates. I know someone w a Tesla S in Avalon area, making his car payment in a week, for the last yr.
I would never do that. If you don't get that order sheet signed & get a copy, you have nothing traceable w Ford should an issue come up.
When we ordered in Oct 2021 we got our price initialed & the accepted XPlan pricing initialed. My husband agreed to pay $1500 over MSRP on our order...
Since I had a problem w my salesperson, tried to sell out from under us in Feb, I decided to take control of what was going to happen on pick up day. Don't be one of those people who goes in thinking the dealer is your friend or unprepared for things to go bad, this is a business transaction...
I have seen only 1 in Dec 2021 down the main road from my dealer, probably had just left there. I saw another when we p/u our Mav leaving that dealer when we did.
I am super pumped I saw a Lucid Air $170,000 2 weeks ago and yesterday I saw a Rivian truck 🤯 not as ugly in person surprisingly 😆
Have you checked to see if any modules populated on the Ford tracker? That would show you progress in production. TBH once I found out I was going to production I was happy w that much 😂 I checked maybe 12-14 days later and all the modules populated. Few days later a shipped email went out.
We got stuck in production for 10 days I think. Check the Ford tracker and see if your modules have populated, they turn on as ea section of production is finished. That will give you an idea of timelines.
No your freight # should have TTGX then a 6 digit # all of ours' came into FL on CSX. I'm thinking that # you have is a carrier convoy # now. It will wait in south Orlando till they have a carrier open. I highly doubt haulers are picking up partially loaded runs. When ours got to the dealer...
What dealers are lacking in supply they are making up for in prices though. Look at the # of Mavs sold w $10-20k added prices, clearly an example of why inflation is sooo high, there is an excess of cash flow (traditional reason for inflation) in the system right now.
Our experience picking up our ordered Mav, was at the end of the transaction, the sales manager & GM met both of us, shook our hands, asked if we had a good experience and to please give them 5⭐️ rating on the surveys we get. I would immediately get a Google rating up explaining your experience...
When we were ordering mid Oct they discouraged us from the Hybrid unless we wanted an an indefinite wait. We were down to my car only 🙄 so went w an EB, delivered mid April. I have access to my dealerships internal spreadsheet (after an issue I think they didn't want to hear from me 🤭)I checked...
That is utter shite! After some issues I got the internal spreadsheet at Greenway Orl in Feb, we got progress emails till shipping then I got my railcar # & convoy co name from the spreadsheet. Call the sales manager and then GM. They KNOW. Have you called the Ford Marketing # or used their chat...
Did it get off the railcar? Our's spent 5 days in south Orlando, mid April, waiting on a convoy truck. Mav is my husband's, I already added orange trim 🤭
Wish I had the idea to do this when my husband ordered back in Oct!! We are re-ordering in Aug a hybrid (got EB XLT Lux in April) since we missed the mid-Oct cut off by days. Our dealer has not received a hybrid order placed after Oct 15. We'll resell whichever we don't want.
OP glad no one was hurt, hopefully you don't have any residual pains. I read through 50% of the replies and having been hit 2x head on at high rates of speed, once backed into in a parking lot and two little bumps from behind at traffic lights, in the moment accidents happen, everyone can react...
