I could see doing a V6, hooked up to the right transmission. But there some nice 4-cylinder modifications that can be done as stated by 1929 above, that won't put you in the "poor house". Maybe a V4 if you are looking.

It sucks that OP received a "citation" for being a "Good Samaritan". Since the Advent of the cell phone (and dashcam for that matter), and pretty much everyone having one, and most (notice that I said most) have motor vehicle insurance (that for the most part, covers towing, among other things)...

Those are "Vegas not Mavericks. The Title of the thread was misleading, thought we were going to see 70's Mavericks compared with current Mavericks. Bummed!
