I'm not aware of any issues with running any name brand injector cleaner in the hybrid or ecoboost. Driving style & quality of pump gas would probably determine how often and that's really just a guess.
As for quality of gas, freshness is a factor as well, so buying gas from a busy Cosco pump...
Maybe a camper top or bigger wheels/tires is a better upgrade for some. I'm happy with my XLT +lux package but some plan to do a lot of mods and want to start with an entry level model.
If the XL came with the sad three cylinder motor that the base & mid level Bronco Sports have, I'd call it a...
At least the display screen has an off switch, although that may be an issure for the 2025 Mav owners since Ford is putting more controls in the Sync system, dumb.
But that's still not as dumb as BMW making some of their options 'subscription only', so if you want heated seats, pay BMW a monthly...
Honestly, the XL is really the best bargain of the lineup.
When I bought my XLT in Cactus Grey they had an XL on the lot but it was in white, and I've driven too many fleet trucks in white to ever buy one.
Like the man said, that's more $$$ for upgrades.
I'm old enough to remember when bare...
Very nice Ranchero, this is definitely the grandfather to the Maverick pickup.
As one who used to own a '59 Galaxy with a 332 V8, my advice is to do the brakes first. Non-power assisted drum brakes with a single master cylinder is not what you want to count on for a panic stop.
Me no likey.
It's not as noticeable as in other vehicles, but for my driving I'm not sitting long enough for it to make a difference in MPG.
Someone does sell a gizmo that disables it for $100 but I'm just getting in the habit of turning it off when I get in.
I just don't like the idea of extra...
While I don't see anything in OPs routine that could do damage, AlsMaverick has a point that IF something were to fail, say the truck doesn't recognize the door being open, that could defeat the auto-park & auto-brake.
I've tried leaving the vehicle in D and just setting the brake and shutting...
Not everyone wants a bigger truck.
If you spent $40k on a Maverick, yea, that puts you in a Ranger or Tacoma with less options. And less MPG.
I've seen several reviews say the rear seat space in a Ranger is less than a Maverick.
And today I drove my Dad's '15 Tacoma. Getting behind the wheel I...
I've watched a lot of Care Care Nut's videos over the years and like his honesty, and he seems to know his stuff.
And not many reviewers put a vehicle up on a rack and review the underside.
Also nice to watch a video review that's more substance than style.
I hate the concept of making a...
For years Tacoma owners have used a seat delete kit from an outfit called Goose Gear that looks a lot like this product. Price is about in line with Goose Gear as well. Too rich for my blood but the Goose Gear kits seem to get good reviews.
Personally if I pull my rear seat I'd probably just...
This not my first new Ford but found out that the tag on each switchblade key with the bar code & 5 digit code can be used to cut a new key. I thought it was just some dealer inventory tag and tossed em in the trash, then a few hours later read that fun fact and fished em out. Might never use it...
I've seen more than one off road camper made from a lifted Transit or Sprint van with knobby tires.
On the whole I do think vans are handier than trucks for hauling light stuff around town but unless it's got a rubberized interior like a Toyota Matrix or Honda Element it'll probably get trashed...
In honor of this thread I ordered a Broco bucking horse chrome emblem off ebay and stuck it on my tailgate. If my Maverick's DNA comes from a Bronco Sport, it's allowed...
We had the same Sync system in our old Explorer and it had the same issues over the six years we had it, was a common complaint. No fix. USB did seem to be more stable than bluetooth but I've only had my '24 Maverick xlt for a few weeks and the bluetooth has glitched several times. Not enough to...
A/C cutout? Not sure if Maverick will shut off the compresssor under heavy load but the vehicles I've ridden in that do, typically run up the fan speed to cover up the shutoff.
I've had good luck with 303 Aerospace protectant on the black plastic fenders of my '04 Mini Cooper. It seems to be popular with Jeep owners as well. Not sure if Mabett is as flexible as those types of fender flares but any unpainted black plastic needs a good UV protectant, and the Maverick has...
The blind spot monitoring is neat but for me the cross traffic warning is worth the price of admission. Too many times I've had to back out into traffic blind and hope if someone is coming they'll stop. No amount of skill will let you see thru a panel truck or giant SUV with blacked out windows.
Only been thru a wash once and no issues. Considering how short the antenna is I don't see it being a problem, if it was, EVERY vehicle would have problems going thru a wash.
