This all takes me back 20 years to when Chrysler introduced the PT Cruiser. I have two friends who waited 6 months for their cars to be built, so I guess delays in new cars are not uncommon. I had to wait until a previous car had been paid for before I got our 1st PT...a 2003 we bought used in...
The MPG estimates look pretty believable to me. Our 2015 C-max was estimated at 42 city/37 hwy/ 40 combined. This from a 188 HP 2.0L Atikinson Cycle I4. The C-max is shorter, similar to the Maverick in width and height and weighs in at 3607 lbs. In the 60 months we've owned it we've put on 64901...
In answer to the question about remote starting and the heater warming up the cabin, the C-max energi that I have was my commuter car for the last 2 years. I worked until 1 a.m. and it could be pretty chilly during the winter. I would start the car with the MyFord app on my cellphone at about...
The only experience I have so far is with my 2 C-maxes. In the past 5 years of owning the hybrid, there have been maybe 2 occasions where the hybrid battery had been depleted due to some extensive slow driving, A/C on high, in electric mode. Upon restarting, the gas engine shuddered a bit and...
Wiscasset Ford in Wiscasset Maine currently has a Cactus Gray XL, 2.0 liter AWD. I was able to touch, see, smell and test drive it last Saturday (so much better than pictures and videos  ). Went very well. I'll be looking forward to mine when it finally becomes a reality.
My C-max hybrid has the heater from the gas engine cooling system, while my plug in energi has an additional electric heating element in the system. The a/c compressor in both are electric. When starting the C-max, the electric motor begins moving the car and sort of jump starts the gas engine...
" Is there a secret voice like Kit from KnightRider that comes on and warning me or a voice like HAL 9000 and takes over?! 😲"
"I'm sorry, Dave, I can't do that."
... "Hopefully, a dealership near you will soon have a Maverick to test drive."
I spoke to my salesman last Saturday, he informed...
I stopped by the dealership yesterday afternoon, according to my salesman they will be getting a Cactus Gray XL in October, so I'll at least get a chance to touch, smell, and see the real thing...pictures just aren't the same...
So if the spray-in bedliner is holding up scheduling, is it because of lack of material? I can't see how I could have it removed if it's part of the Lariat Luxury Package. Mine was ordered and confirmed on 8/16/21.
FWD Hybrid, because I'll be replacing our 2 Ford C-max hybrids. Now that I'm retired we probably won't need 2 daily drivers. I've been driving FWD cars since 1974, and have rarely wished for 4WD. I may replace the all seasons with a set of 4 snow tires for the winter. Plus 4WD vehicles can be...
I can only respond with my C-max experience...I would say it's whenever the electric motor is used. Most of the time with the C-max it's gas or electric. The only time I've seen both is on hard acceleration or some uphill when the elec "helps out" the gas.
I kind of agree, I was hoping for a more "finished" look. Out of all the videos on YouTube I've seen only one mentioned the seat back folded down...emphasis has been on the seat flipping up.
I would compare this to our 2015 C-max hybrid. I've kept records of fill-ups and mileages, repairs, etc. and after 62 months of ownership we've traveled 64,259 miles of which 28,951 have been electric. That equates to 45% electric. Average mpg for the 5+ years is 42.3.
I guess I'm confused. What is a 22MY? What is the tow package 53Q? The hybrid Lariat I ordered is only supposed to have a hitch receiver (2000 lbs.), not the "tow package for 4000 lbs.". The order code I have is 0816...priority code 19.
I believe that I read some years ago that there were hundreds of RAM pickups waiting for seats. The seat manufacturer had some kind of delay in materials causing the problem. This kind of situation probably occurs more than the public realizes.
