I'll give it a try. My brakes don't always get 'grabby," but it does happen pretty often. I'll let you know my results. Doesn't make sense but worth a try. Software/calibration can sometimes make no sense at all.
I added the BAP to my MY23 build. My thoughts are that for $1600, the profit for Ford may have bumped my build earlier. Also, the Michelin tires are WAY better then the Continentals. The Continentals cost approx. $136. The Michelins are approx. $227. That's a difference of $364 for four tires...
I work at an OEM steering system supplier. Varying the voltage will have no effect on steering assist. Once the voltage drops below a certain threshold the steering system will just stop working. The only way to change the amount of assist is through the steering system software.
The big problem when driving in L, is that the brake lights will not go on when you are slowing down. The deacceleration is pretty aggressive and a driver behind you may not notice you slowing down and may crash into you, especially in city/congested traffic.
I bought the rectangle clips from eBay and I compared them to the OEM clips and they are not even close to being the same. The ebay clips have the four round indents that you can see in the pictures, the OEM are solid plastic. I haven't removed an OEM clip, yet, but to compare with the eBay...
You are in the south, so it is not such a concern in regards to rust. This is my 2002 Ranger that I drove daily in south-eastern Michigan. As you can see, it has a touch of rust.
" who see's the wear and tear on the paint anyways"
Rust sees the bare metal. If you drive in the rust belt the salt will eat the bare metal in no time.
The Pinto had many less deaths versus the GM trucks that had the side saddle gas tanks.
" The non-profit Center for Auto Safety estimated that more than 300 people have died in side-crash fires in GM trucks since 1973. Twenty-seven people died during the 1970s in fuel tank fires in the Ford Pinto."

$22.69 for 4. 5 sets of 4 will cost $113.45. Kinda pricey but better than rusty, swollen lug nuts.
Living in the rust belt, I didn't want to deal with the stock lug nuts expanding due to rust, so I replaced them. I noticed the rims on the BAP were not painted around the seating area of the rim for the lug nuts. I wanted the rims to be fully back so I bought flat black barbeque paint and...
I bought Hertz K 170s, the mounting bracket, and the wiring harness. Installing them is not a priority for me at this point in time. I still need to ceramic coat the exterior and undercoat before installing the speakers.
I have to agree. The bass is non-existent. When adjusting the bass slider I can't tell much difference. I have door speakers that I am going to install and see how much difference it makes.
Why do you think it is a one-time use tool? It looks like all you have to do is unwrap the strap, remove the filter, and re-use it for the next filter removal.
