I live in the country and it's probably even more important here. We get a lot of hobbyist cyclists around. They're probably even less suspecting of a vehicle coming up behind them because there are fewer vehicles on the road. In the city you're always going to be more focused and alert.
It would. Even a $3000 rise in price it will be cheap "for a truck" but Mavericks main competitor is not other trucks. Most people buying a Maverick are switching from a small to mid size car. Maverick isn't just competing against the Santa Cruz and Toyota Tacoma, it's competing against the...
It's not as efficient anymore (although the difference is minimal) but the thing about manual is power when and how you want it. (Which ironically is probably more important for a truck even though no trucks come in manual anymore).
Manual is going to die in North America before electric...
Aye, that's a good article. Appeared on my feed just yesterday. Yes, it's my last opportunity to get a manual. I keep my vehicles for decade plus. (Only reason I'm getting a new vehicle is because my kids need a car so they will be getting mine when they pass their test, and I was getting a...
If Ford raise the prices too much I'm getting a Civic or Corolla hatchback instead of my Maverick.
I'd really love a small truck again, but Civic and Corolla have one massive advantage over the Maverick, they're still available with a manual. I'd love another small truck, haven't had one in a...
That's the cause of the delay. Ford is having to spend time tightening all the lug nuts they forgot to tighten on the '22 MY. They only have one lug nutter to send around the country tightening nuts before they can start on the '23 MY.
That's useful information to know. I won't be using Jim Hudson.
Lugoff Ford told me they won't charge above MSRP. Anyone have any information/experience with Lugoff Ford?
Edit: they now charge almost $4000 above MSRP so avoid them
I'm willing to drive home from out of state if any of...
And I'm glad they are because it helps me know what to expect and what is fair.
Not sharing how much you pay, especially on an anonymous forum that doesn't require real names, only benefits the dealers not the consumers.
I typically drive my vehicles until they end up costing more to repair than it costs to buy new.
So in this day and age, I'm expecting a bare minimum of 10 years but ideally more than 15. Who knows what the market will be then?
The only reason I'm getting a Maverick now is because my...
It IS more yellow than Orange... But I like yellow too so not a problem.
Always amuses me how Yellow Trucking company has an orange logo too. (I'm easily amused)
Well, a lot of people don't get bold colors like Cyber Orange because they're worried about resale. Funny thing is, orange actually has a higher resale value than any other color. White, grey, and "safe colors" that people think will resell better actually have lower resale values that more...
In all honesty, does it matter if we order next week or next month?
If production isnt going to start until October and we're all in the same boat having to wait before we order, it's not like them changing the date we can order will change the actual production date.
How does this compare to MSRP for the Maverick. Is this better than some of the 3% below MSRP that others offered for MY22? Any catches like filing fees?
Just replying because it's the only way I know to add the "watch this thread and receive email notifications" because apparently I didn't do that last time.
2024 MY colors announced:
Dull grey
Miserable cloudy sky grey
Crypt grey
No imagination white
Boring black
Bread mold grey
TV static grey
Grandma's silver
And for a splash of colour:
Black with the slightest hint of blue.
Might be a fun road trip, but do manufacturers not still recommend mixing road types for first few thousand miles. The first 1100 miles (for me and I suspect similar distance for you) all being highway, would that be good for the truck?
I also see now (when not just reading first page and...
