Wear and tear on the transmission? Single best thing to improve lifespan of your vehicle? Jesus. Park pawl does not = transmission, when it comes to wear and tear, unless you are slamming it into P while cruising at 5MPH or above.
Imagine waiting 1.5 years for your Maverick.
You get a build date.
It gets built.
It gets shipped.
It's days away from being in your hands.
Then this.
And now you're waiting until 2024 order banks open to do it all over again.
Great job Ford. It only took you 3 years to figure this out and (hopefully) fix it. Excellent work.
I'm looking forward to wasting a day at the dealer so they can spend 5 minutes to reprogram the software with an update that should be made available through WiFi for customers to take care of...
Ford needs to figure out this deep sleep problem. Mavs aren't the only vehicles suffering from random deep sleeps. I've had 2 new batteries put in my Fusion under warranty and it still occasionally goes into deep sleep in winter. No aftermarket accessories, nothing plugged into USB or 12V...
I'm certain they probably have double or triple the number of orders compared to allocations.
Ford is pretty lenient with extending leases. My brother extended his lease 6 or 7 months. Ford told him as long as he has a vehicle on order they'll allow the lease to be extended.
Good luck to you!
Another BB customer here with nothing. I, too, expected the #1 sales volume dealer in the world to have a decent flow of Mavs. They have plenty of Bronco Sports, though! Probably close to 200 in stock by now. Glad to see Ford is building what the customers want.
Each day that goes by...
They want you to back out so they can mark your truck up and sell it.
You need to name this dealer. They are scumbags. Public shaming is the only recourse you have to get anything accomplished.
They will obviously continue to screw you around, and @Ford Motor Company won't do ANYTHING to help...
