Much of my life I have been involved in product design. The whole bucket of peculiar issues with a Maverick and locks adds up to a product design diagnosis of "featur-itis". They overplayed the whole subject. Of course, I live in an unusual area with almost no auto thefts. With simpler...
I just got caught up on this thread and tried to really listen to each report. It dawned on me that if I am bumping the lock lever (which is inches from the electric lock/unlock buttons), why do I need that lever. maybe I should just disable the paddle unlock so it can't get bumped. I can...
I have had similar experience with the drivers door locking but all others remain unlocked. I read about bumping the lock button and even though it doesn't seem all that easy to do (I think driver size changes the possibility a little), but recently I got out of the truck and was milling around...
Its a personal preference issue. You have to make the call. The guy who refinishes my 80 year old oak floors says about dings scratches and stains; "hey! the history of your home is in the floors".
Scratches just say you used it instead of being its slave.
Wow! That's an unhappy mess, glad to hear you are OK. First, make sure your PCP refers you to a neuro-doc, ASAP. I work in head protection, you need to be evaluated. As we say, there is no such thing as a "tough head". The fact the bags did not deploy looks like a mistake. In crash...
Does anyone know why it takes two "admin" keys to program a third? The dealer that sold me the truck said it only had one key. The truck had 145 miles on it. Hard to believe a guy who never drove it, lost a key. I think they were hot to sell me a second key at $550.
I've read through a lot of the "Towing" thread and was reminded of something a 100,000 pound driver told me in my 20's (long ago). Safe towing isn't about what you can pull, its all about what you can stop.
So, with that key shaft cut to match your fob&key, you can open and start your truck? I have only one key but was quoted $550 to make another by a ford dealer. Personally, I dislike carrying that fistful of electronics and key. I've made it through my first 56 years of driving without all...
There are four pairs of holes in each corner of the bed (2024 XL) that have a smooth barrel approximately 1/4-3/8" deep behind each hole. These look like they are ready to cut threads in but the diameter doesn't match pilot hole sizes for any U.S. common threads. Bigger than a size F drill bit...
