If you have your VIN, you can add your Maverick to your Ford Pass account and you can download your owners manual there. you can see the supplemental manuals too. It is pretty comprehensive.
I sold my Ranger, thought I would buy a beater and drive it until my Maverick got built. Problem is with this crazy market people want $5k for a beater with 200k mikes on it. So I am just driving my old 94 mustang GT until my truck gets built.
My Ranger has the 2.3L turbo and is a heavier truck. It will leave most other V6 mid size trucks for dead from a stop light. I expect a little drop off in acceleration, but I think it will still be a quick truck.
Well, mostly the size. I grew up with the original Rangers and like the compact size. My new Ranger is a really nice truck but itās bigger than I really wanted. The 2nd reason is the current car market. I received an offer from Carvana for $6500 more than I paid for it. So I will pay cash...
I was a huge fan of the old Rangers. I loved the size and practicality. I bought a 2019 Ranger when they came out and it is a good truck, but it is bigger than I really wantEd so I jumped at this new Maverick because of the size and hopefully the ride quality improvements due To being a unibody.
Well, since I am an automotive engineer that works on the powertrain side(albeit for another OEM), yes I am familiar with ECVTs. But why donāt you take a look at the other Ford forums that discuss these transmissions and see for yourself before your declare them completely reliable. Although...
I asked my dealer if I was obligated to buy the truck if I didn't like it when I finally got to drive it. He said they wouldnāt force anyone to buy a car that they didnāt want. Plus they could sell it themselves at a much better margin anyway.
Yes, I know the ECVT is not the same as past CVT designs, but if you look into the C-Max and Fusion forums you will see a high instance of issues with these transmissions. I donāt think stated actual feedback from customers and mechanics is spreading falsehoods. I was simply stating why I...
For me the question isnāt whether the hybrid engine is reliable, itās āis the CVT tranny reliableā? CVTās are known for annoying rpm holding and poor reliability. This is why I took the 2.0. Not the engine itself but the regular automatic transmission itās mated to.
