Lol exactly. That's basically what I did. Someone at the dealership let me test drive their lariat before they signed and drove off the lot! Was very appreciative of that person.

my brother just got into a Mustang MachE fully loaded for about 7k off MSRP because it was a demo model used for test drives. Had to wait till it hit 4K before it could be sold to him. 4K miles could also be an internal number dealers use? Possibly allowing them to get another demo model but...

There is no contingency plan. I will be getting my maverick.

Dealer demo models need about 2k- 4K miles on them before they can be sold. I believe under 2k to still be considered a "new" car and after 4K miles it can be sold as demo model with a slight price markdown.

Dealer cannot order. Buddy ordered yesterday and got a call from dealer saying XLT Luxury is no longer an option. So he's going with Lariat instead.

Luxury package is NO LONGER an option on XLT models for MY22. if you see $0 or no option it's because you cannot get it anymore. Either wait for MY23 to open to switch to Lariat.

I went with black on my XLT for this purpose. So much black trim it just blends in with black

I originally had the luxury package with SIBL and switched to DIBL after experiencing my fathers F150 with DIBL- heavy use and no crack issues or leaks. And can then decide to add SIBL down the road if I deem it necessary. One options allows flexibility. Other is permanent

It truly depends on your wants and needs. Drop ins allow you to change them out, clean them up, replace if cracked. Depending on what you use it for having the sliding factor if drop ins are actually better. However spray on look nice and have less maintenance but are permanent (maybe mistaken)...

If you read the confirmation email carefully it states "*Does not show all optional and included packages/features." So as long as the printout of your build from your dealership has what you want on it you are good to go.

Another Thursday, another let down. I used to look forward to Thursday's hoping my email would come. Now I just anticipate the disappointment. My dealership seems to get 1-3 builds a month.. if that. Dunno how much longer I can wait before I let go of the amenities I desired on my Maverick build...
