Hey Ric
Congrats on your new Mav. I wish you many miles of trouble free enjoyment driving it
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if a thief wants your car it’s gone.
There are two types of car thieves. The first is a joy rider. Someone who gets their kicks out of stealing cars and...
Wow some people get really bonkers over oil changes.
I had a E320 that I drove to 374k. Changed the oil every 10,000 my current 2007 328 I change every 10 k has 224k on it. I also have an 2012 Avalon that I change every 10 k. 232k on the odometer. My 2023 Mav hybrid has 9700 on it and it’s...
I am in Southboro only about 45 minutes away on 495. I do get that way often. I do have the original plate but not the bolt and nut. Let me know if I can help you out.
Let me guess you screwed up the installation because the lock tite they put on it makes it nearly impossible to not twist the holding nut? That is what I did😉
I got lucky I called them and they sent a replacement kit out right away. Sorry to hear they are now out of stock. My guess is maybe...
I am 100% agreement here. But downshifting in an automatic also is not as aggressive as downshifting manually. And if you are downshifting manually to slow a bit you are using your gas pedal to match revs right? You not slamming it down and popping the clutch. Which is a lot more like...
No other than what I said before. The majority of Mavericks in salvage yards are rear end collisions. I also do not see many posts here about any other type of collision. So is that hard eveidence? Absolutely not and maybe I am making the totally wrong assumption. I admit that.
No not exactly the same. In a hybrid when you take your foot off the gas the electric motor slows you down at a much faster rate than if you take your foot off the gas in a regular ICE. In an ICE you are coasting. In a hybrid you are braking ie regen braking. Of course it depends on the mode...
I had to think about this one a little more. I can not think of any instance when I am downshifting with an manual transmission and not applying the brake at the same time or at least covering the brake pedal enough that the brake lights would in fact come on. The one exception is downshifting...
I agree I would have thought so too and you are right there probably are more rear end collisions today over all but when I was researching the Mav I followed the peer competitors forums (Santa Cruz, Ridgeline and even Ranger). I didn’t see the same #. Which may just be anecdotal I know.
😂😂. I hear ya. For someone who normally is always in the left lane at 80+. It is really hard when you see that gas mileage drop from 46 to 42 on the dash at 80. 😂😂
So if you are decelerating fast it’s not a good idea to make sure the person behind you knows? I understand the argument that is their problem. But on roads where the majority of vehicles today have automatic transmissions you have no real choice but to hit your brake pedal in an automatic...
respectfully why? They don’t come on while coasting. Only when actual regen braking. Every single EV has it and most of the Prius’s that I am aware of have it. That includes the Mach E.
It seems like a very high percentage of Mavericks are getting rear ended. Most of the accident posts here are about getting rear ended. I read an article recently about a huge salvage company somewhere in the Midwest that is buying up all the totaled Mavs and the majority have rear end damage...
