    For the last 2 weeks I have been seeing beautiful green F150s and wishing they had offered green in the Maverick color line up. I would definitely have ordered green...but hey maybe I can get a good deal on my Area 51 Lariat Hybrid 2022 if a green equivalent is available for 2023!!!

  5. Rising cost of gas, war, inflation and the Maverick [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

    My purchase is not unnecessary...it is replacing a 96 F150. Yes,it is paid for but with gas prices going up and electric vehicles priced out the wazoo and few charging stations,the Maverick seemed like a good middle ground.

    The Dakota looks like an Americanized Santa Cruz. Didn't grab me like the Maverick did. No mention of hybrid. It will be interesting to watch this develop.

    Even my SmartCar has a hand shifter...I will miss that on the Maverick. Welcome to the new world I guess. Sigh. My Alfa is a true stick shifter. When did driving a car get so mindless?

    Totally agree with you. I needed the Cruise control and know how to drive a car/truck without any fancy extras. They know exactly how to get us to pay more money for basics. .

  11. If no Maverick, what is your back up plan?

    Currently driving my '96 F150 when it snows and then my Smartcar'08 as the weather gets better...but the Bronco is enchanting. I will wait and see what happens. The Cleveland Auto Show has a Maverick but if I go and see it I'm afraid it will depress me....so I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

    Well the Lariat has touches of brown(interior) which I think would not be bad...but there again more choices,more money!!

    I need a green color. That was what I looked for when selecting the color and was shocked when it wasn't offered. It was not even my favorite color. This makes me imagine how good the Lariat interior would look with some sort of green exterior.

    I love the reviews from first time Hybrid owners because that is what I will be hopefully in the near future. I feel great!!! Time to buy more accessories!!!

  16. Anyone order sunroof? Worth it?

    I'm sure I will miss the natural sunlight coming in(I'll drive my Smartcar when I want the sunroof effect),but with the complaints about paint chipping,fuel tank holes,engine noise,etc....I don't want to take the chance on something that I never thought I had to worry about. The entire Maverick...

    I would have gone with an XL but I wanted cruise control. I did not want the orange trim of the XLT...so I opted for the Lariat with no extras added. Heck I was hoping for a stick shift!
