I contacted 4 as well... 3 local, 1the other a bronco order... details in a previous post. I went with a 5th... @Granger Ford Motors... seamless, painless, midwest hospitality.
Well, as I said, if I were towing or going off-road I'd look at a completely different vehicle. If you’re going to be leaving paved road get a Ranger. If you need to do towing regularly or heavier, get a Ranger. The Ranger is being re-designed for 2022 and will use the same updated body on...
It would be interesting to know who the first time truck buyers are. That is the target audience and I'd think more first time truck buyers in the 20 and 30 age range.
I'm going with Cactus Gray because lighter colors are cooler in the the sunny southwest and because of the Deep Dive Analysis from one of the bronco6g members who is in the color business (I'll post link below). It has no tints, it is pure gray, but your perception of it depends on light and...
Add it as an interior option for $150 and you could at least use an extension cord for outside needs. Might also make it easier to add it to the bed later... as an add on.
edit: I see HRG had the same idea.
I agree. You can extrapolate from the Ford Escape. The main difference in this mature design (Maverick transaxle is the 4th gen I think) is that Ford re-designed, in-house, one of the electric motors to be something like 20% more efficient... and lighter to boot.
edit to add link...
No, I have 2 orders on my Ford account, one for a Bronco and neither show up. You should have gotten an email from Ford though confirming that they received your order (check your spam folder). Priority codes 10-19, you are good to go, a priority 99 means to hold the order and do not build.
I think they are both un-interested and un-informed. I contacted 4 dealers, 3 local and 1 where I have a Bronco order in.
The Bronco dealership said on the 8th, way too early, they don;t know pricing but will have pricing close to build dates. I emailed next day, saying dealers are taking...
Haha... I feel better now. I have a third day res on the Bronco (July 15), which I thought would get me the vehicle this fall. Not a chance, next spring most likely -- so I think the Maverick will definitely be here first and I'm looking forward to it.
Yes, one of the motors is new, lighter and more efficient -- but the system itself is well known. Thanks for mentioning Force Vectoring spring - that's a new one on me as well. They use it in the Fiesta ST - the hot hatch -- so maybe our mavericks will handle like a hot hatch.
Until this...
