Here are some pictures of the passenger sides totally awesome box and the driver sides nothing liner. I have cubbies on both sides so I tried to get some pictures of the driver side cubby. the bottom of my driver's side cubby is getting dirty but the rest of it is shielded by the metal plate...
I remember when I did that exact same thing to my first new truck which was oddly enough an S10. I scratched the bed by loading cardboard boxes into it.
The fact is new paint scratches very easy. It needs time to cure. By the end of the first hundred degree Tennessee summer I couldn't scratch...
I did my first Uber today in the mav. Only half day right around 4 hours. This was in normal mode.
I'm over 400 miles in to my first tank and I still have 200 miles of range and a shown average of 42 MPG. Pretty good considering it's been 20° and ice storming here for a week of the two weeks I...
I made my first trip into the City yesterday. Traffic was really heavy and it was about 57 degrees outside. I had the HVAC set to automatic 72°. Because of the heavy traffic the place was closed so I turned around and went home and this was my results:
Today I took the same trip in 35° weather...
That's how I got a priority 10 and I'm going to pick mine up tomorrow. The sales guy cc me the emails from ford so I can track it.
At least that's what I assume he did because on the side of my truck there was a sticker that said special order and retail.
To be fair whether it's in your name...
i have driven a lot of different vehicles and never once have they braked for no reason. if that system activates it is because you are going to have a wreck if you do not mash the brakes. trust the engineers and lawyers that are way smarter than us.
It showed up at the dealer today! I snuck into the back lot with my K10 so i could check it out fresh off the truck. The PDI guy will get to it Wednesday hopefully and i will pick it up Thursday after lunch. I am already approved through Ford financing so it should be a quick sign and drive...
i use a lube stick before the start of each winter on all my door seals. it looks like a giant chap stick. it goes a long way to prevent rubber from sticking to metal or glass. its like a greasy wax. originally designed for wooden windows and drawers to help them slide easily. maybe it will help...
i bought a 3rd generation prius for uber duty because all the uber drivers recommended it. I quickly realized that i had been lied to for years about hybrid vehicles. it was not just efficient but powerful. Hybrids are horribly underrated in terms of power and acceleration. it is like they...
are you using 12v to power your camper or the 110v 400 watt inverter? do you have to keep the key "on" for the engine to charge the battery?
i am panning on building out a 6x12 cargo trailer and living in it while i travel and use the Mav for uber/lyft/doordash to offset expenses as i pass...
"A wheel tax is a fee applied at the time of vehicle registration collected to aid in the maintenance and upkeep of local roads. Usually, areas with a large number of commuters or tourists have wheel taxes as there is a high volume of visitors using the area's roads without paying taxes to the...
thanks for the info.
what is the continuous amp rating and the duty rating on the DCDC? does it have a separate sensor wire for voltage or is it using the charging cables or an ecu signal?
totally surprised at the peak rating on the DCDC!
by installing a solar panel as an alternate source of power for the 12v battery i am accomplishing several things:
less load on the factory inverter. maybe zero load.
no worries about the truck not starting due to low 12v power
possible increase in fuel economy

i doubt the inverter has the power to spare to drive those amps for your subs.
surely you can move the 12v battery wherever but again keeping the resistance values/voltage drop stock so the inverter can sense voltage and charge correctly is going to be complicated but maybe not impossible...
I was thinking of building a solar bed cover instead of spending a grand on a tri folding cover. it would be to charge the 12v battery not the hybrid pack since that is pretty much impossible. it would be about 400 watts of potential 12v power. not sure if it would make any difference in mpg but...
how deep was the snow?? driving in deep mud or sand can cause these issues although they usually go away if nothing got misaligned once you clean the debris out and restart the vehicle. the tpms shouldnt have anything todo with this however the wheel sensors control the abs/traction control/...
