I received my XLT hybrid in March of 2022. First experience with hybrid and CVT. I love the vehicle. I call it my powered wheelbarrow! I have just under 10,000 miles. 43.7 mpg. I have the deep sleep issue. i would love to see a club in Maine.
My hybrid startup routine is: foot on brake; parking brake off; selector to D; 5 pushes on mode; two pushes on OK. Just over 9000 miles; 14 months; 42+ mpg. I mostly avoid the interstate, but I am retired and have lots of time.
My Area 51 Maverick is a great retirement vehicle. I am never in a hurry, leave extra time and take the back roads. I hustled for 65 years. Now I enjoy myself.
I love my Maverick. People stop me often to ask me about it or just look at it. It’s a fun way for an old man to still do truck things and feel as if he is still “in the game.” My reply to, “Gee it’s small,” is, “It’s my powered wheel barrow!”
78 y/o many pickup owner. This is all I ever needed except 4-5 years I occasionally towed a boat, then I would have got a smaller boay. CLT hybrid. Over 45 mpg. Leave earlier, arrive fresher.
I’ll defend a dealer! HOME in Farmington, Maine. They were great to work with. I went in and to see about money arrangements and they said, “When it comes in.” It came in Thursday when I was out of town. I stopped to look at it on my way home, (saw you on the camera, Tom), went in Monday and...
They don’t run out of parts until they use them up. They were up front telling us about this, and anyone watching the news could expect it. I waited nine months and it’s now my baby!!
Thank you for a clear post. I have been wrestling with information overload for 3 weeks or so. I had the only hybrid in Maine for a couple weeks, so very lonely there! I guess I came to that conclusion, but it was ok checking it out.
I bought mine at a local dealer in Maine. Ford made it when they said they would, shipped it earlier, arrived Friday afternoon and I drive it home Tuesday. Registered Wednesday. Nothing like home town trade.
I wish I could let you drive my XLT. It has few extras, but the 360 is standard now, in my opinion. I am still learning, but I have never regretted it.
