Has anyone gotten these harnesses? I’ve tried reaching out to him to buy a pair, but they’re not on his new website and I can’t get any responses from his email.
So, I did this. Got them to work after doing (I don’t even know anymore) to the bcm to change outputs. They worked, but only on full brightness. I tried to fix, but did a LIN and the upper portion went dark last week, still no luck… I’ll continue trying. @2016BoostedGreyGoose at one point made a...
Do you have metra part numbers for the front tweeter and rear speakers? I installed door speakers and was so happy with JL C1 component speakers! Haven’t yet installed tweeters as I don’t like to splice so I can remove if I ever decide to sell.
I’m going to send you a DM with my number. Once I send some stuff it may be easier to tell you about it on the phone if you’re comfortable with that. All this stuff is hard to wrap a thought around!
I can take photos tonight of what I did, but since we’ve spoken before I did a Lin on the BCM and now the truck doesn’t see the internal module in the headlight. They’re supposed to communicate over LIN line to illuminate the upper DRL. There is also a separate circuit that on XL/XLT is spliced...
You got the lariat BAP headlights on an XLT? How did you get them to work? Mine worked until I accidentally did a LIN initialization now they won’t light up. What’s the secret????!!!
update: i got my lights to work temporarily, did a lin after a day, they shut down again, will not power up, no clue why. everything in bcm is set correctly. been waiting for almost 3 weeks and multiple messages to 2016boostedgraygoose with not a single response. I just with i could get these...
The only difference is that Led strip which mine had the wire for from factory. A coworker’s XLT too. You can always get the harness but try without first! And I got BAP lights but the standard lariat still has the signature lighting just not tinted. And no problem!
I posted a response, but basically you have to remove the whole grill. If you’re super careful (and your hands fit) you can remove the top bolts for the grill to radiator shroud, and get a ratchet in there to remove the (7?) bolts and use a screwdriver or pick to release the tabs from the back...
Essentially the whole bumper has to come off to separate it, but if you’re careful you can bend the grill back and get to it. Got to remove a bunch of little bolts first then release tabs.
Yes perfect thank you! And yes I plan on referencing a lariat BCM coding. Just need a baseline haha. Thanks!
looking through these seems like these are available in the “easy mode” but I am not sure where to go to get this module to communicate over the Lin line. I guess I keep trying!
thanks...
Thank you!
I’ll be completely honest, I’m not sure what I’m really looking at here. Which controls the headlamp type, I’m assuming I need to tell it it’s Lin now since the lariat lights have a module that communicates that way, and whatever controls DRL?
