I really like black with black wheels, but it is time consuming to keep clean and looking good. I went with the Lariat, so the wheels are not all black- hence the reason I went CGM.
I have her to receive communications from Ford regarding my order. I emailed my dealer and my hybrid build date was moved from the week of November 15 to the week of November 29.
Thank you for the review, it is much appreciated to hear others' feelings about the Maverick!
I test drove an FX4 Lariat 2 weeks ago and was quite surprised with how quiet I felt the interior was when compared to everything else that I drive(in full disclosure- I am mostly deaf in my left ear...
My correct salesman is incredibly responsive. But I know that they are not all that way. I had to switch dealers to just get my order placed due to the first dealership's lack of follow through.
It looks like you will be about 75lbs over ~20%. Not sure how much of a difference that will make, but it might make the front end light and make driving a bit less than ideal.
Another option would be to get a lift and put the chair in the bed. We had one for my grandfather's scooter to put...
I test drove a Lariat FX4 with Lux package on Saturday and found it quite quiet inside. I didn't take an incredibly long drive in it and most of the roads I was on were in pretty decent shape so it's tough to say, but it road rather nicely and I heard no rattles or squeaks, even while making...
This is a pretty broad question but I will answer from my point of view and experience:
Add to build:
Trailer hitch(you won't find a more cost effective solution)
4K package-if you think that you want to tow anything heavier than 2000 lbs(this requires the Ecoboost and all when drive)
Floor...
I actually like the choice of Maverick. A good friend hates it as he reminisces over the 70's car, but Maverick is way cooler than Courier. Per my teenage daughter, it doesn't even need a nickname since Maverick is cool.
As another poster stated, it also works with the equestrian/Western theme...
I have determined over the years that my time is worth more than changing my own oil. But discounting that, the dealer that I am buying my Maverick from offers free lifetime oil changes, car washes, tire rotations, and power train warranty- all at no additional cost. Sounds good to me
My dealer emailed me yesterday to let me know that they got in a Maverick in Lariat-trim so I will to check out out today. I ordered a Lariat for the interior due to concerns of staining on the light colored areas with the XLT seats. I really like the Active X material after experiencing it...
I only removed the tonneau cover and the spray in liner. I really prefer the Linex anyway and for the tonneau cover, I was having 2nd thoughts about- I am still trying to decide which style I want.
There was no way I was giving up the hybrid.
Made the changes and was able to get a build date~1...
Faster than my hybrid will be and is. Right now it's probably 0-60 in 48 +days.😁
I am thinking that you will be at 0-60 in 6.4 and 1/4 mile of 14.7.
I cannot wait to see.
Looks great, them you for sharing and we cannot wait to hear how you like the Maverick.
As I see more pics, I am starting to wish that I went with Cyber Orange instead of the Carbonized Gray. Oh well- it will be a great addition to our home fleet either way.
Well, I thought I wasn't scheduled since I didn't get an email so I emailed my salesman, and to my surprise he sent me my VIN and said 11-14 build week. I cannot find the scheduled build date on the site though to confirm, but it sounds in-line with what others are posting.
Ordered on 6-29...
I originally ordered with the hard roll up tonneau cover and spray-in in bed liner, but removed those options yesterday hoping to increase my odds of getting my truck scheduled. Will see if it works- it's still a hybrid though, so I am not holding my breath.
Thanks for the pics! That is set up very close to my order. I keep trying to decide if I should drop the roll-up tonneau cover and drop the factory spray in liner.
Caps are pretty simple to install. You generally need at least 2 people and they are held down with C-clamps. I've had caps on 2 of my last trucks and generally kept them on unless I needed the vertical height to carry something or was getting stone or mulch.
Hanging in a garage is a nice idea...
Max payload would be 1500lbs and Max tow capacity is 2000lbs. These numbers are approximate and may be lower depending on configuration. Remember payload and towing capacities affect each other, you will need to know the GCWR to make sure that you are not overloading your truck
