    A fairing is used to reduce drag. That thing looks like it creates drag. It might protect the paint and light when leaning something against it in the bed. Is it glued or taped?

    It would be very odd if it had the same issue as your f150, unless it had an eCVT.

    I Changed it once a year,whether it’s needed or not.

    Are you old? Might be loss of muscle, or hip issues? I had these issues, and ended up wrecking my weather seal along the threshold. Got some PT, and have been doing leg work, so now I have a new seal, and get my clodhoppers in and out without damage.
