Just do what JJC did but graft in the Ford letters to the Maverick bar from a cheapo eBay grille and tie in the three amber LED. That’s really all there is to it.

The XL is the STX version… STX is typically a dolled up XL. How are they gonna doll up a Maverick XL? It’s not the same as ranger or f150 as the bumpers are already painted to match.
The original pic of that photoshop is a Ranger, which has the filter on the passenger side IIRC. Did you notice the bike racks on the roof, flipped up and mounted transversely.. I’ve never seen anyone mount bike racks that way, or leave the front tire bracket flipped up when no bike is present 🤣
I was also thinking one might be able to modify the OEM enclosure to basically house that cone filter and elbow. just turn down the angle and filter you have now and trim the lid to fit over it. Well maybe not that exact filter as you said it’s huge.
Obviously a drop in filter would be most...
Ha, this came up as a similar thread so I'll bump it along.
Checkout @JJC's trials and tribulations as he appears to be doing just that. TLDR, not a direct swap like you and many others probably hoped:
Ranger Black Appearance Pkg Tailgate Emblem installed - NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT |...
Maybe that number there on the "baseplate" as you call it, is the part number for the emblem. You said you had to seperate those, maybe they come together as one from Ford so part number to search for would be NZ6B-19H250-AC
No clue, just throwing out there.
I'm seeing a pattern here with a lot of these mods you keep somehow executing to perfection. They're often just involved enough so folks like me won't run out and copy you :ROFLMAO:
Seriously though, that emblem looks fantastic. I also hope we see a blackout package so lazy people like me...
Honestly, just buy a set on eBay or Esty that people have tested and confirmed fitment and then copy the process. That's me assuming you want to make these and sell them, so it's really either that or find a Maverick to measure yourself. I get that you have the means to recreate these, but...
Did you get those resistors wired in? I went to the link you shared and those seem like they may be overkill for just signal bulbs.
Did you get those resistors wired in? The ones you linked seem like they may be overkill for just signal bulbs, idk though, maybe not.
Well done. Those decals look really nice on your Maverick, those are the ones available from Ford right? I can see those hood ones in my future for sure.
How long is he financing for? That'll have the biggest impact IMO. I'm going with the 36 month financing and 0 down. Within a couple of months there should be positive equity unless the world explodes. If financing for a longer term, definitely consider it or at least compare it to what...
That's fair, whatever made up body line you think you followed works for you and that's all that matters. I think Ford paid somebody very well to locate the original decal, if you moved it intentionally because YOU thought it looked better, no skin off my back. I just like the original...
So you admit, the previous installer didn't utilize the body lines. I also didn't crawl out of hole to revert to. I'm just saying you installed it well, the OG did not 🤙
The dealer model I was able to sit in, I noticed right away the radio was super delayed and just completely unresponsive at times. It had me a little concerned but I definitely appreciate you finding a potential solution. It'll be months before mine's delivered to test this out but maybe Ford...
