For your use it sounds like you don't need either one - especially since you have 2 capable tow vehicles. Why not go with the hybrid motor and get fabulous mileage?

69 here and seriously considering an XLT w/ Lux package to replace my aging but trusted '00 Tacoma. My gas bill would drop by half or more. However I also have a Bronco on order - so juggling that decision. I'd like to get them both.

It may be time to give up the old Tacoma. Crazy thing is, these first gen Tacos are popular and easy to sell. If I had to tow or do much off roading I'd look at a different vehicle. I think the real value of this truck is in the hybrid setup. Amazing value.
